Top 3 Price Prediction: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple – BTC, ETH and XRP extend multi‑week rally as bulls target higher levels

Source Fxstreet
  • Bitcoin trades above $86,700 on Monday, with bulls aiming for the $90,000 mark next.
  • Ethereum extends gains, trading above $2,730 on Monday after posting three consecutive weeks of gains.
  • XRP trades above $1.520 on Monday, extending its recovery as bulls target the $1.90 mark.

Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) and Ripple (XRP) extend gains on Monday, after posting weeks of gains since mid-September. The three cryptocurrencies now eye key upside targets as bullish momentum strengthens: $90,000 for BTC, $3,000 for ETH, and $1.90 for XRP.

Bitcoin bulls aiming for higher levels

Bitcoin price trades at $86,722 on Monday after three consecutive weeks of gains. BTC holds well above the 50-day, 100-day and 200-day Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs) at $79,206, $75,375 and $75,001, respectively, which collectively reinforce a bullish near-term bias and an extended uptrend structure.

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) near 69 suggests overbought conditions after the latest acceleration. At the same time, the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) indicator has nearly flattened around the zero line, hinting that upside momentum is strong but may be losing incremental traction.

On the downside, initial support appears at the recent horizontal level around $85,000, ahead of dynamic demand at the 50-day EMA near $79,206, with the 100- and 200-day EMAs clustered just below $75,400 and $75,000 acting as a broader medium-term floor. Deeper pullbacks would expose prior structural cushions at $66,500 and $62,300, where buyers could attempt to defend the broader bullish trend if profit-taking intensifies.

Ethereum bulls in control

Ethereum price trades at $2,730 on Monday, maintaining a bullish near-term bias as it holds above the 50-day, 100-day and 200-day EMAs, clustered between roughly $2,290 and $2,495.

The RSI at 64 stays in bullish territory but shy of overbought, while the MACD indicator remains slightly negative, with the line below zero and hinting at a moderating upside after the recent rally.

On the topside, immediate resistance appears at the $2,800 horizontal barrier, ahead of the psychological $3,000 level, which caps the medium-term upside for now.

On the downside, initial support is seen at the $2,500 horizontal line, closely reinforced by the 50-day EMA at $2,493; below these, the 100-day EMA at $2,322 and the 200-day EMA at $2,289 mark a broader demand zone, with deeper structural support located at $2,000 and $1,385 if a stronger correction unfolds.

XRP bulls hold key support

XRP price trades at $1.525 on Monday, maintaining a bullish near-term bias as it holds above the 50-day, 100-day and 200-day EMAs clustered between roughly $1.330 and $1.400. The RSI at 59 stays in positive territory without reaching overbought levels, while the MACD remains slightly negative but flattens, suggesting upward momentum is consolidating rather than reversing decisively.

On the downside, initial support is seen at the 50-day EMA near $1.395, followed by the 200-day EMA at $1.380 and the 100-day EMA at $1.329, with additional structural demand at the horizontal levels of $1.300 and $1.000.

On the topside, XRP faces next resistance at the horizontal barrier around $1.671, ahead of a stronger cap at $1.900, and a sustained break above these levels would be needed to unlock a fresh bullish extension.

Cryptocurrency prices FAQs

Token launches influence demand and adoption among market participants. Listings on crypto exchanges deepen the liquidity for an asset and add new participants to an asset’s network. This is typically bullish for a digital asset.

A hack is an event in which an attacker captures a large volume of the asset from a DeFi bridge or hot wallet of an exchange or any other crypto platform via exploits, bugs or other methods. The exploiter then transfers these tokens out of the exchange platforms to ultimately sell or swap the assets for other cryptocurrencies or stablecoins. Such events often involve an en masse panic triggering a sell-off in the affected assets.

Macroeconomic events like the US Federal Reserve’s decision on interest rates influence crypto assets mainly through the direct impact they have on the US Dollar. An increase in interest rate typically negatively influences Bitcoin and altcoin prices, and vice versa. If the US Dollar index declines, risk assets and associated leverage for trading gets cheaper, in turn driving crypto prices higher.

Halvings are typically considered bullish events as they slash the block reward in half for miners, constricting the supply of the asset. At consistent demand if the supply reduces, the asset’s price climbs.
