Samsung Electronics Integrates Coinbase Stablecoin Service, Enabling Over 82 Million US Galaxy Users to Transfer USDC

Source Tradingkey

TradingKey - Coinbase provides stablecoin services for Samsung, allowing over 82 million Galaxy users across the US to send the USDC stablecoin.

On October 8, Coinbase, the largest US cryptocurrency exchange (COIN) announced an expansion of its partnership with Samsung Electronics, integrating the USD stablecoin USDC into Samsung Wallet by late October, meaning approximately 82 million eligible Galaxy smartphone users across the US will be able to make USDC transfers and cross-border remittances directly through their phone's built-in wallet.

This is not the first collaboration between Coinbase and Samsung Electronics. In July last year, Coinbase enabled users to purchase cryptocurrencies using Samsung Pay. The new partnership between the two parties marks the official transition of stablecoins from crypto-native tools to mainstream consumer smartphones and everyday payment ecosystems.

Regarding this partnership, Samsung Electronics and Coinbase stated that future plans include further promoting physical store Tap-to-Pay contactless payments and online shopping checkout, gradually expanding to other global markets based on regulatory progress in each country. As of press time, Samsung Electronics' shares fell 2.42% to 262,000 KRW (approximately $195.42); Coinbase slipped 0.32% in overnight US trading, trading at $177.97.
