ECB’s de Galhau: Increase in long-term yields tightens financial conditions

European Central Bank (ECB) policymaker Francois Villeroy de Galhau said Thursday that “an increase in long-term yields, all things being equal, tightens financial conditions.”
“France needs to bring back the deficit to 3%,” he added.
Market reaction
The EUR/USD pair is oscillating in a narrow range around 1.0775, up 0.14% at the time of writing.
