Given the recent rise in the US Dollar as markets price in Fed rate hikes, USD/CHF could end the year on a higher note.

Bullish momentum has resumed, as depicted in the Relative Strength Index (RSI). This, along with price action respecting the bullish structure of successive higher highs and higher lows, can pave the way for further upside.

If USD/CHF clears the previous year-to-date (YTD) high, it could test 0.8300. A decisive breakout can drive prices to May 29. 2025 high of 0.8347 before testing the 0.8400 figure. Once cleared, the next stop is on May 12, 2025, at 0.8476.

On the downside, if the pair retreats to 0.8200, a breakout could send the USD/CHF to 0.8183, the September 22 low. Beneath the next stop is the psychological key support levels at 0.8150 and 0.8100.
