SanDisk Reverses Losses to Rise Over 5% Late in Session, Included in MSCI Global Index at Today's Close

TradingKey - On August 31 Eastern Time, SanDisk (SNDK) turned from a drop of over 2% late in the session to rise over 5%, closing at $1,566.7 and reclaiming several short- and medium-term moving averages, including the 5-day and 10-day lines.

On August 12, MSCI announced the results of its August 2026 quarterly index review for MSCI equity indexes and decided to include SanDisk in the MSCI World Index after the market close on August 31.

Currently, several Wall Street investment banks remain highly optimistic about SanDisk's prospects, giving it an overall consensus rating of "Strong Buy." In the past 3 months, a total of 16 analysts have rated SanDisk, with the highest target price at $3,050, offering about 95% upside from the current price. The lowest target price is $1,550, flat with the current price. The average target price is $2,201.56.

In addition, SanDisk and Kioxia recently announced a partnership under which they expect to invest a total of approximately 5 trillion yen (about $31.4 billion) in Japan by 2032, subject to government support. This investment aims to continuously build out production equipment at the Yokkaichi and Kitakami plants, while strengthening related infrastructure and technical capabilities. The company also stated that this move will further deepen its partnership with SanDisk.
