Brown & Brown raised 2026 Accession EBITDAC synergies to $50 million.
The company deployed artificial intelligence software to over 6,000 teammates.
Third quarter organic revenue increased 1.2% from the prior year.
On its third-quarter 2026 earnings call, held on Oct. 27, 2026, Brown & Brown (NYSE:BRO) raised its full-year target for its Accession acquisition to $50 million in adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, amortization, and transaction costs (EBITDAC). Operational efficiency gains and steady cash generation help insulate insurance brokers when commercial pricing cycles turn soft.
Three takeaways from the call show how management is executing on its long-term strategy.
Integrating the $1.7 billion Accession acquisition boosted top-line revenue. Operational integration allowed management to raise its target for full-year cost synergies.
Regarding our EBITDAC synergies, we previously communicated our full-year estimate for 2026 would be in the range of $30 million to $40 million. Based on the efforts of our teammates, we are increasing our full-year 2026 expected benefit to approximately $50 million.

Rather than committing to heavy multi-year software projects, the company deploys targeted artificial intelligence (AI) tools directly to account managers during insurance placement.
In just 45 days, we deployed Claude to over 6,000 teammates, with more than 90% actively using the platform. We're also in the process of rolling out Claude to the next group of teammates.

Standard admitted carriers are expanding into excess and surplus (E&S) lines, which cover specialty or high-risk accounts. This movement into states such as California and Texas creates short-term organic revenue headwinds for specialty distribution.
For binding and personal lines accounts, we realized incremental movement from the E&S market into the admitted market. As an example, we are seeing admitted carriers now wanting to write in California and Texas.

Commercial insurance markets show steady conditions while casualty pricing remains firm. Diversified distribution channels give the broker structural stability as pricing discipline stays central to its underwriting strategy.
From an economic perspective, we expect conditions in the markets in which we operate to remain stable and relatively consistent with what we've seen through the first 9 months of the year.

Technology deployments across sales and administrative teams support client retention and long-term organic revenue expansion.
As we continue our AI journey, we will enhance the effectiveness and productivity of our teammates to help deliver better customer outcomes, resulting in incremental organic growth and margin improvement.
