On its third-quarter 2026 earnings call, held on Oct. 30, 2026, Dominion Energy (NYSE:D) raised its full-year earnings expectation to the top half of its guidance range. Customer demand across its service territory is expanding. Data center development in Virginia is driving much of this growth. Three key takeaways from management's comments highlight the company's long-term outlook.

1. Data Center Demand Secures Multiyear Customer Growth

Dominion Energy now has over 54 gigawatts of data center demand -- a measure of electrical power capacity -- in various contracting stages. Securing long-term electric service agreements, which are binding supply contracts with commercial customers, guarantees steady revenue and shields residential customers from cost shifts.

We now have over 54 gigawatts of data center capacity in various stages of contracting, including over 12 gigawatts of capacity contracted under electric service agreements.
-- Steven D. Ridge, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

2. Major Offshore Wind Construction Stays Within Planned Budget

Large utility infrastructure projects often face cost overruns, but the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind project remains on track. Adhering to its $11.65 billion budget keeps project risks manageable as it builds out clean power assets.

From a cost perspective, our current budget remains $11.65 billion including $123 million of unused contingency.
-- Robert Blue, Chair, President and Chief Executive Officer

3. Accelerated Clean Energy Plan Expands Capital Investment Opportunities

The company's updated integrated resource plan, its long-term generation roadmap submitted to state regulators, accelerates renewable energy deployment. Pulling forward solar and battery storage additions builds out the regulated rate base, the asset base on which utilities earn a set return.

Relative to last year's company preferred plan, we have added and accelerated 4 gigawatts of solar and 2 gigawatts of battery storage.
-- Robert Blue, Chair, President and Chief Executive Officer

Looking Ahead

Electric sales volume grew 3.4% over the past year, and execution across major capital projects remains steady.

In conclusion, I am highly confident in our ability to deliver on our financial plan.
-- Steven D. Ridge, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Dominion Energy benefits from exclusive service territories and a regulatory framework that supports large capital investments. Management is focused on regulatory execution and efficient capital deployment. The proposed combination with NextEra Energy offers additional operational scale across four states.

Looking ahead, we believe we can accomplish far more on behalf of our customers together than we can apart.
-- Robert Blue, Chair, President and Chief Executive Officer
