On its third-quarter 2026 earnings call, held on Oct. 22, 2026, JAKKS Pacific (NASDAQ:JAKK) announced a 20% increase in third-quarter net sales to $254 million. The toy maker relies heavily on its free on board (FOB) shipping model, in which retail buyers take delivery directly at overseas origin ports to reduce inventory risk. Operational efficiencies and brand licensing discipline are creating long-term value beyond short-term media releases. Three things management said stand out.

1. Core FOB Model Drives Predictable Supply Chain Operations

JAKKS Pacific relies heavily on Free on Board, or FOB, sales, a shipping arrangement where retail buyers assume ownership and freight responsibilities at the origin port. This structure limits exposure to freight expenses and accelerates cash collection.

The FOB business model is alive and well, representing over 75% of sales for the first 9 months of the year.
-- Steven Berman, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

2. Operational Efficiency Underpins Dividend Safety and Cash Generation

Management focused on internal execution and organization tuning rather than chasing acquisitions. That discipline helped the business deliver $45 million in cash and declare a $0.25 quarterly dividend per share.

As of late October, we are getting close to the finish line of delivering in 2026 a profitable cash generating dividend paying fiscal year.
-- John L. Kimble, Chief Financial Officer

3. Kid-Centric Focus Separates Strategy From Competitor Shifts

While industry competitors pivot toward adult collectors, JAKKS Pacific remains committed to core toys for children aged six months to seven years. The focus on young consumers complements licensed lines like Disney Princess and Super Mario.

As for JAKKS, we are still a kid centric business, and they are still a very big appetite for, you know, items for children 6 months to 7 years.
-- Steven Berman, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Looking Ahead

Net sales expansion is delivering proportional gross margin dollar growth, reflecting pricing discipline across retail channels. JAKKS Pacific relies on long-standing Asian manufacturing partnerships and expanding international warehouse distribution to navigate supply chain cost pressures.

20% higher sales delivered 20% more gross margin dollars, so we are pleased with that.
-- John L. Kimble, Chief Financial Officer

Looking toward 2027, theatrical media releases, including Sonic the Hedgehog 4 and Frozen 3, provide structural growth tailwinds. Management expects these entertainment partnerships and initial anime product rollouts to expand international distribution footprint.

I continue to feel extremely confident in our business today, where we are headed, and the opportunities we see both ahead of us and within reach.
-- Steven Berman, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
