Gentex secured a $180 million annual circuit board manufacturing award.
Full-year 2026 revenue guidance is updated to $2.5 billion.
Gentex repurchased 5.7 million common shares for $132.6 million.
On its third-quarter 2026 earnings call, held on Oct. 23, 2026, Gentex (NASDAQ:GNTX) announced that it expects full-year 2026 revenue of $2.5 billion while maintaining its 2027 revenue target of $2.8 billion to $2.9 billion. Auto production remains weak globally, but higher vehicle technology content and expansion into new electronics markets give the business clear paths to expand sales. Supply chain inflation presents short-term profit friction, yet internal manufacturing advantages help protect long-term margins. Three things management said stand out.
Management secured its first printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) contract, valued at $180 million annually starting in 2029. This award leverages the company's automated manufacturing facilities to expand into nonautomotive and custom electronics assembly.
This is another opportunity to leverage Gentex's advanced manufacturing capabilities and new products and markets and we are actively pursuing additional PCBA opportunities with similar production timing.
-- Steven R. Downing, President and CEO
Despite regional vehicle production dropping, vehicle content growth accelerates through the adoption of advanced features such as full display mirrors (FDM) and driver monitoring systems (DMS). These higher-value electronics enable revenue growth even when car assembly volumes decline.
Full display mirror continues to perform well for Gentex. And the market acceptance has only increased for the product.
-- Neil Boehm, COO and CTO
Precious-metals inflation and severe price hikes in electronic parts, including memory chips, pushed full-year gross margin guidance down to 34%-34.5%. Reimbursing higher component expenses from automaker customers requires time, creating a temporary delay before margins recover.
Anytime there is escalating prices like this in our industry in particular, you are always behind that curve a little bit, but you do catch up.
-- Steven R. Downing, President and CEO
New vehicle tech features and the expansion of custom electronics continue to gain momentum across factory floors, reinforcing the company's manufacturing footprint and core engineering capabilities. Management is watching reimbursement timing for raw material inflation and supply chain cost discipline while navigating component shortages.
As we look ahead, we are increasingly confident in the growth opportunities in front of us.
-- Steven R. Downing, President and CEO
A debt-free balance sheet and proprietary manufacturing automation provide structural insulation as higher content per vehicle drives multiyear growth.
If we execute on these growth opportunities while continuing to offset the cost pressures facing the industry, we believe we can create meaningful long term value for our shareholders.
