Here Are the 6 Largest Stock Holdings in All of Cathie Wood's ETFs Right Now

Asset management company Ark Invest offers nine different investment funds, eight of which are available as exchange-traded funds, or ETFs. They all have a different tech-related focus, such as robotics, biotechnology, or general innovation.

There are other ETFs with similar specialties. However, the biggest differentiator of Ark's ETFs is that they're actively managed. In other words, instead of simply tracking an index of, say, robotics stocks, Ark's portfolio managers handpick stocks in which to invest, with the goal of beating a benchmark index.

Ark's ETFs are managed by Cathie Wood, one of the most notable technology investors in the United States. Here's a quick rundown of the largest investments Wood has chosen for Ark's funds, as of the latest information.

What stocks do Ark ETFs own?

Of Ark's nine investment funds, one isn't an ETF and two are index funds. For the purposes of this discussion, I'll focus on the six that are actively managed by Wood and Ark's investment team. Here's a brief description of each one and the top stocks they own.

1. Ark Innovation ETF

The Ark Innovation ETF (NYSEMKT: ARKK) is Cathie Wood's flagship ETF and has about $6.3 billion under management. Since its inception in 2014, it has produced annualized returns of about 12%. There are currently 33 stocks in the portfolio, as of Jan. 21, 2025.

Unlike some of the other Ark ETFs, the Innovation ETF has a broad focus, aiming to find the most innovative companies in the world. The top five holdings of the Ark Innovation ETF are Tesla, Coinbase, Roku, Roblox, and Robinhood.

2. Ark Fintech Innovation ETF

The Ark Fintech Innovation ETF (NYSEMKT: ARKF) has about $1.1 billion in assets and aims to find the best opportunities in financial technology. It has 36 investments, including top holdings Coinbase, Shopify, Robinhood, Bitcoin, and Block.

3. Ark Genomic Revolution ETF

The Ark Genomic Revolution ETF (NYSEMKT: ARKG) has about $1.1 billion in total assets and, as the name implies, invests in companies pursuing or benefiting from scientific developments in genomics. The portfolio has 35 stocks, including top holdings Twist Bioscience, Recursion Pharmaceuticals, Crispr Therapeutics, Adaptive Biotechnologies, and Guardant Health.

4. Ark Space Exploration & Innovation ETF

The Ark Space Exploration & Innovation ETF (NYSEMKT: ARKX) is designed for investors who want to capitalize on the technologies related to exploring beyond the Earth. One of Ark's smaller ETFs has $287 million under management. Top holdings in its 32-stock portfolio include Kratos Defense & Security, Rocket Lab USA, Iridium Communications, Teradyne, and Archer Aviation.

5. Ark Autonomous Tech & Robotics ETF

The Ark Autonomous Tech & Robotics ETF (NYSEMKT: ARKQ) is probably the closest thing to an artificial intelligence (AI) ETF in Ark's product portfolio and has about $950 million in assets. It focuses on things like autonomous vehicles and intelligent devices. The fund has three dozen stocks, but its top concentrations are Tesla, Kratos, Teradyne, Archer Aviation, and Rocket Lab USA. (Notice there's quite a bit of overlap among some of Ark's funds.)

6. Ark Next Generation Internet ETF

The Ark Next Generation Internet ETF (NYSEMKT: ARKW) focuses on things like cloud infrastructure, digital wallets, and cryptocurrencies/blockchain. It's the second-largest Ark ETF, with $1.8 billion under management, and there are 37 different investments in the portfolio. Bitcoin is the single largest investment, with Tesla, Roku, Coinbase, and Roblox rounding out the top five.

As a final thought, it's worth noting that Wood and her team buy and sell stocks often and report changes to their holdings on a daily basis. It's entirely possible that these will change over time, but for the time being, they appear to be Cathie Wood's highest conviction stocks for each of her ETFs' investment objectives.
