Eaton raised its 2026 organic revenue growth guidance midpoint to 14%.
Electrical Global raised its 2026 organic growth guidance to 16%.
Eaton's total electrical order backlog reached over $20 billion.
On its third-quarter 2026 earnings call, held on Nov. 3, 2026, Eaton (NYSE:ETN) raised its full-year 2026 organic revenue growth guidance, which excludes acquisitions and currency shifts, to a midpoint of 14%.
Management also raised its full-year adjusted earnings per share guidance, a profit measure that excludes one-time items and non-cash expenses, to a midpoint of $13.75. Expanding factory capacity allows the company to convert a record backlog, which represents unfilled customer orders, into long-term margin expansion.
Three things management said stand out.
Eaton restructured its international operations early and expanded its product lineup in high-demand markets like data centers. Electrical Global, the division serving international power markets, sharply accelerated its organic growth by gaining share with the same global customers that Eaton serves in North America.
We now expect organic growth about 16% in 2026, well above our prior guidance, and more than double the 7% we delivered in 2025. This acceleration is no accident. It reflects deliberate strategic moves we made over the past few years.
-- Paulo Ruiz, Chief Executive Officer
Electrical Americas, the division handling North and South American power equipment, turned new factory capacity into higher output as manufacturing expansions came online. Completing these facilities helps Eaton fulfill record customer orders and expand segment profit margins over time.
18 of our 25 expansion projects are complete, with the steepest part of the ramp behind us. The results are clear. New capacity is turning into output, and output into earnings.
-- Paulo Ruiz, Chief Executive Officer
Data center operators increasingly require advanced liquid cooling systems to support high-density computing clusters. The $9.55 billion buyout of Boyd Thermal, a thermal management business that makes liquid-cooling systems for data centers, expands Eaton's product lineup from electrical distribution to chip-level cooling. Eaton's debt roughly doubled in the first half of 2026, largely to fund Boyd
Boyd Thermal is an important accelerator for Electrical Global. Since our last update, Boyd has continued to significantly outperform our expectations, reinforcing the strategic rationale for the acquisition and validating the strength of Eaton's position in the data center infrastructure market.
-- Paulo Ruiz, Chief Executive Officer
Integrated power and cooling technologies, deep customer relationships, and multiyear equipment backlogs give the company structural advantages in high-density data centers. The planned separation of the Mobility segment, which merges with Dana (NYSE:DAN) around the first quarter of 2027, will tilt the portfolio even further toward growth markets.
None of our end markets are expected to decline in 2027. Approximately 90% of our portfolio is in markets we expect to grow, and the rest, being residential and light vehicles, should hold flat.
-- Paulo Ruiz, Chief Executive Officer
With major capacity ramps nearing completion and primary end markets expanding, Eaton enters 2027 with strong operational momentum. Management expects double-digit end-market growth to drive continued top-line outperformance across its global power management businesses.
We have the right portfolio in the right markets at the right time, and we expect 2027 to be another year of differentiated growth and strong returns for our shareholders.
-- Paulo Ruiz, Chief Executive Officer
