Integra lowered its full-year 2026 revenue guidance midpoint by $30 million.
Cincinnati plant flooding reduced third-quarter revenue by $7 million.
Neurosurgery organic revenue grew 6.5% in the third quarter.
On its third-quarter 2026 earnings call, held on Oct. 21, 2026, Integra (NASDAQ:IART) reaffirmed that it had reduced the midpoint of its full-year revenue guidance by $30 million. Management linked the reduction to severe plant flooding in Cincinnati and slower share recovery in its tissue reconstruction business. For long-term investors, near-term operational delays test whether core product demand can outlast supply chain disruptions.
Three things management said stand out.
A weather disruption at the Cincinnati plant created production bottlenecks, cutting third-quarter sales and worsening fourth-quarter expectations. Management expects full manufacturing capabilities to resume during the second quarter of 2027 as equipment repair and replacement work continues. Management also said not to expect meaningful sales until the third quarter.
We estimate that the disruption reduced the third quarter revenue by approximately $7 million, and we expect an additional revenue impact of approximately $15 million-$20 million in the fourth quarter.
-- Stuart Essig, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Demand in neurosurgery remained durable, helping mitigate sales pressure in tissue reconstruction, where Urinary Bladder Matrix technology, which results in an extracellular matrix product for wound care, lost market share to price-competitive rivals. Organic revenue growth, which excludes currency fluctuations, acquisitions, and divestitures, reflected stable hospital demand across key neurosurgical tools.
Neurosurgery was the strongest contributor, growing 6.5% organically, despite an approximate $7 million revenue headwind from the Cincinnati disruption.
-- Lea Knight, Chief Financial Officer
The business generated $96 million in operating cash flow while reducing leverage to 3.8 times debt to earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization. Spending fell sharply as upfront investments in the Braintree tissue facility and European Union Medical Device Regulation compliance requirements moved toward completion.
Our strong third quarter cash flow reflects significant reductions in spending on Braintree start-up costs and EU medical device regulation compliance, as well as our continued focus on disciplined execution.
-- Lea Knight, Chief Financial Officer
Product availability is improving across key divisions, giving commercial teams room to focus on clinical conversations rather than supply bottlenecks. A broad tissue portfolio, proprietary neurosurgery products, and deep hospital relationships support long-term expansion as management prioritizes commercial execution and debt reduction.
Our priority now is to build on that foundation and translate this year's progress into more consistent execution and growth.
-- Stuart Essig, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
With core product lines regaining stability, management expects returning product lines and disciplined spending to drive revenue expansion.
We remain confident in Integra's market positions, differentiated technologies, and long-term opportunity.
