IT services revenue reached $2.61 billion in the second quarter.
Operating margin expanded to 16.5% during the second quarter.
Wipro generated $4.6 billion in gross cash by quarter end.
On its second quarter of fiscal year 2027 earnings call, held on Oct. 15, 2026, Wipro (NYSE:WIT) reported flat sequential information technology services revenue of $2.61 billion in constant currency. A shift toward artificial intelligence services and consulting-led deals offers a route to non-linear revenue growth. Expanding operating margins create room to reinvest despite broader market softness. Three things management said stand out.
A quarterly dip in total contract value, or the total value of committed customer contracts, didn't come from lost business. Paperwork delays pushed two confirmed bookings into the third quarter.
We had confirmed orders in quarter 2. Unfortunately, some paperwork did not get signed. So those deal we will pick it up in quarter 3.

Management doesn't hesitate to fund specialized acquisitions and a dedicated artificial intelligence unit. Short-term operating margins face pressure to secure expanding addressable markets in agricultural technology and engineering.
We will continue to make these investments even when they create near term margin headwinds. They enhance our strategic position, expand addressable markets, and build a stronger foundation for future growth.
-- Srinivas Pallia, Chief Executive Officer and managing director
Operating margins reached 16.5%, up 0.5 percentage points sequentially. Internal cost discipline and rupee currency depreciation countered growth spending, preserving capital and maintaining a $4.6 billion gross cash balance.
Operational improvements, rupee depreciation, offset by a continuing investment in business, have been the underlying factors driving this improvement. We will work toward improving the margins even as we create headspace for growth.
-- Aparna Iyer, Chief Financial Officer
Long-term adoption of artificial intelligence tools across client infrastructure positions Wipro to capture higher-value technology spending.
AI will expand new growth avenues and accelerate demand for higher value transformation. Signs of this are already evident.
