Prediction: Palantir Stock Will Be Worth This Much by the End of 2027

Source The Motley Fool

Key Points

  • Palantir's own guidance calls for 82% revenue growth in 2026, with U.S. commercial revenue growth exceeding 134%, both increases from earlier in the year.

  • A base-case scenario assumes decelerating growth and a modestly compressed valuation, placing Palantir’s 2027 share price near $237.

  • A more bullish scenario projects the stock reaching approximately $310.

Palantir Technologies (NASDAQ: PLTR) trades around $204 a share today, valuing the company at about $491 billion. That's already a massive number for a company that didn't report its first full year of GAAP profit until 2023.

The stock's valuation using multiple metrics suggests that it is expensive. But for investors looking into Palantir, the question worth asking isn't whether Palantir is expensive, but whether its growth can catch up to its price tag by the end of 2027.

Running the actual math suggests it's a closer call than the sticker price alone implies.

This is what Palantir says is happening right now

Palantir's own second-quarter 2026 results, reported in August, showed revenue of $1.935 billion, up 93% year over year, with U.S. commercial revenue growing 149%. Off the back of that, management raised full-year 2026 revenue guidance to between $8.150 billion and $8.158 billion, implying 82% growth for the year, and raised its U.S. commercial revenue guidance to more than $3.424 billion, at least 134% growth. The company also guided third-quarter revenue to between $2.160 billion and $2.164 billion, with Q3 results due Nov. 2. This is Palantir's own stated targets, and the company has beaten its own guidance in each of the last several quarters. Palantir's long-term upside hinges on monetizing AI sovereignty. If they can keep pulling that off, the following bullish math seems likely.

Doing the math on Palantir

At today's price, Palantir trades at roughly 61 times its own full-year 2026 revenue guidance, a genuinely rich multiple by any standard, software or otherwise. Palantir hasn't issued formal 2027 guidance yet; that typically arrives alongside fourth-quarter results in February. So building a 2027 price target means making an explicit assumption about where growth heads next, and I want to be upfront that what follows is my own scenario, not a number pulled from Palantir.

In a base case, I'd assume growth decelerates from this year's 82% down to around 55% for 2027, a meaningful slowdown but a believable one given how government and commercial demand have both been accelerating, not fading. That puts 2027 revenue near $12.6 billion. If the market also brings Palantir's sales multiple down somewhat, from 61 times to a still-rich 45 times, reflecting a company that's matured a bit further into its growth story, that works out to a market cap near $567 billion, or a share price around $237, roughly 13% above today's level.

In a more bullish case, growth remains closer to 65% as new government contracts and commercial AI deployments continue to compound, pushing 2027 revenue to about $13.5 billion. If the multiple only compresses modestly, to around 55 times, that implies a market cap near $742 billion and a share price closer to $310, nearly 50% above current levels.

Both of those scenarios assume Palantir keeps executing at a level only a handful of software companies in history have sustained for this long. Any real slowdown, a government contract delay, slower enterprise AI adoption, or simply the law of large numbers catching up to a company this size, would hit this stock harder than most.

That said, Palantir has a lot going for it, including surging demand for AI software, strong adoption of its Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP), and an 83% year-over-year increase in remaining deal value to $13.1 billion. If Palantir can justify its premium, my bullish case is pretty likely.

Where that leaves investors

Palantir's own numbers, 93% revenue growth, 149% U.S. commercial growth, massive remaining deal value, and guidance raised every quarter this year are really strong cases for this stock. Whether that's enough to justify today's price by the end of 2027 depends almost entirely on whether that growth rate can hold up anywhere close to its current level.
