CrowdStrike (CRWD) Stock Eyes $229 After $1.17B Q2 Revenue, Falcon Flex Growth

Source Tradingkey

TradingKey - CrowdStrike’s position in AI-focused cybersecurity is increasingly strong, and the $217 to $226.36 price range breaks out from most strong fundamentals stock price range boundaries and reflects incredible and transformative partnerships and changes to spending from larger enterprises. In Q2 FY2026 (July 31, 2025, reported August 27, 2025), CrowdStrike posted $1.17 billion in revenue, an increase of 21% YoY, and the company reported new record Q2 net new ARR of $221 million with an ending ARR of $4.66 billion (an increase of 20% YoY). Non-GAAP operating income also reached a record $255 million with a margin of 22%, and operating free cash flow came in at a record $284 million.

CrowdStrike continued with a series of strategic changes including a four-for-one stock split (June), a partnership with Cerebras (July), new joints of collaboration with AWS, and a Falcon Flex user base of over a thousand. CrowdStrike is also changing the narrative of being a purely Cybersecurity provider. Technically, CrowdStrike is testing resistance at $228.60–$228.73 after breaking past $217 with overbought RSI momentum (75.8) and no distribution. Over the Asian trading open August 11, CrowdStrike is showing good overbought fundamentals and the price is expected to test resistance at $228.73 before a consolidation.

The Q2 Numbers Show Falcon Accelerating Toward Platform Play

CrowdStrike hit $1.17 billion in Q2 FY2026 earnings, a 21% increase year on year. This is a solid number, but there's a better picture, which is the ARR metric: CrowdStrike recorded $221 million of new net ARR in Q2, ending the quarter with $4.66 billion, a 20% year-over-year increase. In the process, CrowdStrike added a whole bunch of recurring revenue, enough to fund the annual turnover of several acquisition targets, to the backlog. CrowdStrike also added more than 1,000 Falcon Flex customers.

Flex is CrowdStrike's modular, consumption-based licensing model, which allows enterprises to pick and choose which sections of CrowdStrike's security products they wish to purchase, rather than purchase a total package. More importantly, CrowdStrike added more than 100 're-Flex' customers, which means that existing customers bought more than one module of the Falcon product line. This also means that CrowdStrike's growth is getting faster.

Profit margins also improved quickly. Non-GAAP operating income was $255 million with a 22% margin, and for the first time showed record free cash flow of $284 million, equaling 24% of the total income. Subscription revenue, which is CrowdStrike's recurring revenue, was $1.10 billion, a 20% year-over-year increase and a positive signal for revenue growth of CrowdStrike's product line. The dollar-based net revenue retention rate was around 115%. This indicates that not only is churn low, but also that CrowdStrike's customers are increasing their purchases to defend larger enterprises.

Falcon Flex Supports Platform Expansion

CrowdStrike is making monumental changes with the introduction of Falcon Flex. Traditional selling techniques would require customers to invest in large bundles. Falcon Flex provides customers the capability of activating individual modules with the flexibility of adjusting their usage based on their unique needs. Falcon Flex provides CrowdStrike with greater opportunities to generate higher amounts of revenue while decreasing the customer’s initial financial obligation.

Currently, CrowdStrike has 1,000 Flex customers, 100 of those have decided to take part in additional “re-Flex.” The annual revenue that is generated from CrowdStrike Cloud Security, Next-Gen Identity, and Next-Gen SIEM is $1.56 billion after a 40% yearly growth. These categories are growing quicker than CrowdStrike and they will take a larger portion of CrowdStrike’s overall revenue.

Cerebras Partnership Targets Faster AI Security

CrowdStrike and Cerebras Partnering together is a unique and powerful partnership in AI. As of July 22, 2023, this partnership is allowing CrowdStrike to run its Falcon AI Detection and Response Models on the Cerebras CS-3 Processors and Cerebras to utilize Falcon to secure its core operations.

When it comes to AI in the world of Cybersecurity, CrowdStrike and Cerebras take the cake! With the rapid growth of adversarial attack AI, the need to delay Data Analysis is crucial. The cost of inference and the delay in data analysis are some of the largest challenges that AI poses to Cybersecurity, however, the systems featuring GPU-like processing will greatly assist the efforts CrowdStrike has made with detection and response AI.

AWS, NVIDIA and European Partnerships Expand Reach

CrowdStrike has expanded its partnership with Schwarz Digits to provide Falcon through European sovereign-cloud infrastructure. This now allows CrowdStrike to partner with/ provide customers in the European market while remaining compliant with GDPR.

AWS Marketplace now features Falcon MCP to integrate agentic AI, alongside AI Red Team Services to assess AI's security gaps. CrowdStrike has also partnered with NVIDIA, among others, to develop cybersecurity measures with a focus on AI, an effort that embraces open source and aims to establish unified standards.

Collectively, these partnerships broaden CrowdStrike's offerings for endpoint security, cloud security, identity security, and AI-system security validation.

Stock Split Improves Share Accessibility

Shares for CrowdStrike were traded on the open market for greater than $650 per share prior to the company's four-for-one stock split on July 2, 2022, and therefore the stock market event did not lower CrowdStrike's valuation, rather it enabled greater retail investor participation. It is also worth noting that CRWD's first three transactions on the open market after the stock split were priced at approximately $175, and subsequently, at $226.36.

CRWD Tests Resistance Near $228.73

CrowdStrike has also broken through the $217.05 resistance and is currently testing the $228.60 to $228.73 zone, of which the upper bound is the 1.272 Fibonacci extension and horizontal resistance. Amid an reported price RSI of around 75.8 (which is considered a overbought), testing that zone is more indicative of price consolidation.

A daily close looks most probable at the upper bound of the $228.60 to $228.73 zone, which would place $243.29 as the next target, followed by $259.51 and $271.06. If a pull back occurs, support is at $217.05, and a close below that would weaken the breakout and focus on $202.55 and the 50-day EMA of $196.47.

Valuation in Context

At post-split pricing (currently $226.36), CrowdStrike trades as about 57x forward earnings, with consensus FY2027 EPS estimates at $4.88-$4.96. While that is not particularly cheap, it is reasonable, especially if there is continued adoption of Falcon Flex, additional revenue opportunities from the partnerships with Cerebras and AWS, and continued strong demand for AI-related security spending. Looking at the backlog, which has an ARR of $4.66B, provides some visibility, and the Flex model is designed to achieve 15%+ net revenue retention growth.

Bottom Line

While CrowdStrike's Q2 FY2026 earnings were very positive, the major driving catalysts are the series of partnerships that were announced after earnings. These include the partnership with Cerebras, which accelerates AI Inference, the partnership with AWS, which expands AI systems to agentic workflows, the partnership to develop EU Sovereign Cloud capabilities, and the partnership with NVIDIA to offer Falcon to become the security standard for AI systems. These partnerships have fundamentally shifted CrowdStrike from a Cybersecurity-focused firm to an AI Infrastructure-focused firm.

From a technical perspective, the breakout is still intact from $217 to $226.36, with the next major resistance at $228.73. While an RSI of 75.8 is technically extended, it is not an indicator for reversal. Should $228.73 be broken with momentum, then the focus will shift to $243 - 271. Should $228.73 hold, then $217.05 should hold as support for a healthy consolidation in the upward trend.

In Brief for Asian Traders: sentiment is strongly bullish, fundamentals are strongly based, and the technical breakout has been confirmed. The biggest risk is consolidation at $228.73 due to overbought sentiment. The clean breakout is expected to extend the move toward $243 - 250. This is analysis, rather than investment advice.
