Top 3 Price Prediction: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple – BTC consolidates, ETH faces hurdle, XRP nears key support

Source Fxstreet
  • Bitcoin trades around $77,600 on Monday after correcting 4.36% last week.
  • Ethereum is near the key resistance zone at $2,550 after rejecting this level multiple times.
  • XRP trades around the 200-day EMA at $1.354 on Monday after losing over 5% in the previous week.

Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) and Ripple (XRP) start the week near crucial technical levels after a broadly bearish performance, correcting over 4%, 1.5% and 5% last week. BTC consolidates around $77,600, while ETH approaches key $2,550 resistance. Meanwhile, XRP trades near its key level around $1.354, making this support level crucial for its near-term outlook.

Bitcoin recovers slightly after a pullback

Bitcoin price trades at $77,643 on Monday after declining nearly 5% in the previous week. BTC retains a bullish near-term bias as price holds well above the 50-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) at $73,376, the 200-day EMA at $73,049 and the 100-day EMA at $71,201, keeping the broader uptrend supported.

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) at 56 sits in neutral-to-positive territory. At the same time, the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) remains below zero, suggesting momentum is consolidating after the recent rally rather than extending aggressively higher.

On the downside, immediate support is located near the latest cluster of daily moving averages between the 50-day EMA at $73,376 and the 200-day EMA at $73,049, with the 100-day EMA at $71,201 reinforcing the broader bullish structure on deeper pullbacks. Below those, prior horizontal levels at $66,500 and $62,300 are seen as more distant demand zones.

On the topside, the next notable resistance sits at the horizontal barrier around $85,000, and a sustained break above this cap would open the way for a fresh leg higher in the prevailing uptrend.

Ethereum nears the key resistance zone

Ethereum trades at $2,505 on Monday, holding a bullish near‑term bias as price sits comfortably above the 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day EMAs at $2,264, $2,146, and $2,203, respectively. The clustering of these EMAs below spot suggests an underlying bid, while the RSI near 60 hints at constructive, though not overextended, momentum. The MACD remains negative, reinforcing that the latest advance still faces some hesitancy despite the supportive trend backdrop.

On the topside, immediate resistance is seen at the horizontal barrier at $2,550, followed by the more distant psychological hurdle at $3,000.

On the downside, initial support comes from the 50-day EMA at $2,264, with deeper demand potentially emerging around the 200-day EMA at $2,203 and the 100-day EMA at $2,146. A more pronounced corrective phase would expose the structural floor near $2,000, while only a sustained break below $1,385 would seriously undermine the broader bullish structure.

XRP hovers near key 200-day EMA

XRP trades at $1.362 on Monday, holding a mildly bullish near-term bias as price remains above the main EMAs. The 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day EMAs at $1.280, $1.252, and $1.354 sit below the market, suggesting a supportive backdrop after the recent pullback from the highs.

Momentum has normalized, with the RSI hovering near 53 and the MACD staying slightly negative, hinting at a consolidation phase rather than aggressive selling.

On the downside, immediate support is seen at the nearby 200-day EMA around $1.354, followed by the horizontal level at $1.300, with deeper demand likely emerging near the 50-day and 100-day EMAs at $1.280 and $1.252, and the structural floor around $1.000.

On the topside, the next notable resistance is the previously drawn horizontal barrier at $1.900, and a sustained break above this level would reopen the path toward the prior advance. At the same time, a failure to hold above the clustered moving average support would expose the pair to a broader corrective phase.

Cryptocurrency prices FAQs

Token launches influence demand and adoption among market participants. Listings on crypto exchanges deepen the liquidity for an asset and add new participants to an asset’s network. This is typically bullish for a digital asset.

A hack is an event in which an attacker captures a large volume of the asset from a DeFi bridge or hot wallet of an exchange or any other crypto platform via exploits, bugs or other methods. The exploiter then transfers these tokens out of the exchange platforms to ultimately sell or swap the assets for other cryptocurrencies or stablecoins. Such events often involve an en masse panic triggering a sell-off in the affected assets.

Macroeconomic events like the US Federal Reserve’s decision on interest rates influence crypto assets mainly through the direct impact they have on the US Dollar. An increase in interest rate typically negatively influences Bitcoin and altcoin prices, and vice versa. If the US Dollar index declines, risk assets and associated leverage for trading gets cheaper, in turn driving crypto prices higher.

Halvings are typically considered bullish events as they slash the block reward in half for miners, constricting the supply of the asset. At consistent demand if the supply reduces, the asset’s price climbs.
