Weatherford redeemed $236 million of senior notes using cash on hand.
Sequential revenue grew 3% to $1.143 billion in the third quarter.
The company expects $15 million in cost synergies from NCS Multistage.
On its third-quarter 2026 earnings call, held on Oct. 21, 2026, Weatherford (NASDAQ:WFRD) reported sequential revenue growth of 3% to $1.14 billion despite activity headwinds in the Middle East. The company continues to expand margins and improve cash generation in a flat global rig market.
Three things management said stand out.
Weatherford is using cash on hand to redeem its 8.625% senior notes, which are high-interest corporate bonds due in 2030. This move lowers gross leverage and reduces annual interest expenses.
On October 20th, we issued a notice to redeem all $236 million of our 8.625% Senior Notes due 2030, using cash on hand, in line with our prior commentary of reducing gross leverage at the appropriate pricing level.

Activity in Latin America is accelerating as international operators return to Venezuela. Weatherford is expanding local headcount and infrastructure to capture expanding project orders.
Importantly, we see potential for Venezuela to ramp up in 2027 to triple-digit revenues, with further increases in 2028, and with the environment remaining stable, perhaps coming close to our prior peak in the next few years.
-- Girish Saligram, President and Chief Executive Officer
Weatherford completed the acquisition of NCS Multistage, an oilfield completions provider, to scale specialized well technology across its global sales network. Management targets at least $15 million in cost synergies within 18 months.
With our acquisition of NCS, we now bring into our portfolio a differentiated completions technology platform that surpassed 500,000 frac stages completed since 2009.
-- Girish Saligram, President and Chief Executive Officer
International deepwater sanctioning and Latin American expansion are driving gains, offsetting a stagnant Middle East market. Weatherford is relying on technology-led margin expansion, lower capital intensity, and infrastructure modernization to sustain cash generation through commodity cycles.
All in all, despite the headwinds from the Middle East, we see a constructive outlook shaping up for 2027 and the years following that.
-- Girish Saligram, President and Chief Executive Officer
Structural cost reductions and cross-selling synergies position the business for higher profitability even if market activity remains flat.
We believe that achieving mid-20s Adjusted EBITDA margins with 50% conversion of free cash flow is not just achievable, it is a very clear path in the next few years and likely sooner with activity increases.
-- Girish Saligram, President and Chief Executive Officer
