TradingKey - Shares of Cerebras (CBRS) surged in short-term trading after the company and Oracle (ORCL) announced that Oracle Cloud Infrastructure will begin deploying Cerebras computing systems and offering cloud services based on the platform starting in the first half of 2027. Following OpenAI and Amazon's (AMZN) cloud business, Cerebras has secured another major customer, supporting the expansion of its commercial applications.
Boosted by the news, CBRS stock rose sharply, gaining 9.36% to $118.51 as of press time.

Cerebras reportedly utilizes a wafer-scale chip design, using an entire silicon wafer typically used to manufacture multiple processors for a single giant chip. The company claims this design can respond to AI queries faster than competing products.
This partnership provides Cerebras with a channel to serve customers through Oracle's cloud platform. If the deployment proceeds smoothly, it will help expand equipment sales and allow more AI users to access its computing systems. This is also the primary logic supporting the stock price: adoption by a major cloud provider lends further credibility to the commercial rollout of its technical solution.
According to average analyst estimates compiled by Bloomberg, Cerebras' revenue next year is expected to nearly triple from this year to nearly $3 billion, while full-year revenue for this year is still projected to be under $1 billion. The addition of a major client supports this growth expectation, though the exact contribution will depend on the deployment scale and delivery schedule.
Oracle is expanding its data centers on a massive scale, planning $70 billion in capital expenditures for the fiscal year ending May 2027 in a bid to become a major AI computing provider, which offers Cerebras an opportunity to participate in subsequent buildouts.
For Cerebras, which went public in May this year, the partnership with Oracle expands its customer base. Going forward, the market will focus on whether the deployment in the first half of 2027 can land on schedule and whether subsequent procurement can drive revenue realization.
