Zedge launched DataSeeds to sell specialized training data to technology companies.
Subscribers reached 1.3 million as average revenue per monthly user rose 30%.
Zedge ended fiscal 2026 with $20.3 million in cash and zero debt.
On its fourth quarter of fiscal 2026 earnings call, held on Oct. 26, 2026, Zedge (NYSEMKT:ZDGE) announced a strategic focus on DataSeeds.AI, its enterprise artificial intelligence data initiative. Cash flow from its core mobile application funds this expansion into data production for machine learning models. This pivot could reshape the company's long-term business model. Three things management said stand out.
Management sees specialized data production for artificial intelligence developers as its primary long-term growth opportunity. Zedge leverages its creator network to produce custom data sets that software teams cannot scrape from the internet.
DataSeeds is our primary growth initiative and the area where we see the largest opportunity to create additional value for Zedge stockholders over time.
-- Jonathan Reich, President and Chief Operating Officer
Zedge Marketplace generates main profits and cash flows, which fund new business lines while supplying a creator base for data collection. Higher monetization per user helped offset a decline in monthly active users during the quarter.
Marketplace is a valuable asset, both on a stand-alone basis and as a driver for DataSeeds, and maintaining its profitability and cash generation remains paramount.
-- Jonathan Reich, President and Chief Operating Officer
Fresh equity financing gives Zedge resources to hire sales executives and engineers to manage larger enterprise contracts. Management plans to deploy this capital across several quarters to maintain balance sheet discipline.
In fiscal 2027, our priorities are to expand our technical and production capabilities, deepen customer relationships, broaden and grow the pipeline and add the people and processes needed to manage larger, more complex engagements, all while remaining disciplined as we invest.
-- Jonathan Reich, President and Chief Operating Officer
Commercial validation for enterprise data services is building, and the company is eager to convert its growing sales pipeline. Existing digital properties provide cash flow and creator access, while leadership focuses on contract execution and pricing discipline.
We entered fiscal 2027 with commercial validation, expanding capabilities and additional resources.
-- Jonathan Reich, President and Chief Operating Officer
Recent capital infusions give Zedge room to scale its artificial intelligence team while maintaining cash reserves above $20 million.
I believe we have an opportunity to build DataSeeds into a substantial business over time with high enterprise value, and I am looking forward to helping make that happen again.
-- Morris Berger, Chief Executive Officer
