According to a Reuters report on September 11, Micron Technology (MU) officially launched its fiscal 2026 total employee compensation package for its Taiwan plants, responding to previous labor-management negotiations initiated by the Taiwan Micron Union seeking bonus parity with major South Korean memory chipmakers. As of press time, Micron shares fell 0.43% in overnight trading, temporarily trading at $973.25.

It is reported that Micron's profit-sharing and retention bonuses for its Taiwan plants are highly attractive. Frontline direct production employees in Taiwan will receive total fiscal 2026 rewards equivalent to 35 to 68 months of salary, with the scheme setting a guaranteed minimum cash compensation floor of NT$1.7 million (approx. $53,000).

The payout cap for the fiscal year 2026 annual performance bonus has been raised to 500% of the baseline target, supplemented by additional equity grants. Furthermore, the average annual total cash compensation for entry-level engineers is estimated to reach NT$2.9 million to NT$3.4 million.

In addition, there is a special bonus—a tenure appreciation payout for all active employees. Every Taiwan employee hired before August 29, 2025, will receive a one-time special cash bonus of NT$1 million (approx. $31,600) for fiscal year 2026.
