TradingKey - During the Asian trading session on August 7, according to a report by the Korea Economic Daily, LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo plans to travel to the US next week to visit Nvidia's ( NVDA) headquarters to hold talks with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang. As of press time, LG Group was trading at 106,600 Korean won (about $74.87), up 2.01%.

Sources revealed that the talks will focus on Physical AI and smart factories, and the two sides are also expected to discuss specific details regarding LG's procurement of Nvidia's Blackwell series GPUs.

During their meeting in Seoul in June this year, Jensen Huang had already indicated that Nvidia would cooperate with LG in humanoid robotics and next-generation data centers, and invited Koo Kwang-mo to the US for further discussions.

Following the June meeting, about 30 executives from LG traveled to Nvidia's headquarters on the 22nd of that month to conduct technical consultations in areas such as Physical AI and robotics.

Currently, the collaboration between the two parties covers three major areas: robotics, AI data centers, and smart mobility. In terms of data centers, LG Electronics announced in July that its 600kW Coolant Distribution Unit (CDU) passed Nvidia's final quality certification, making it the first South Korean company to receive this certification.

According to another report by South Korea's Newspim news agency, LG Electronics is progressing with orders for 1,000 to 2,000 CDUs with a major US tech company, with deliveries expected to begin in the second half of 2027 through 2028. The industry generally speculates that this tech giant is Microsoft ( MSFT ).

The market believes that another meeting between Koo Kwang-mo and Jensen Huang is expected to unlock greater potential for LG in the fields of AI and robotics. If substantive cooperation such as the procurement of Blackwell chips materializes, it is expected to become a core driver for the stock price going forward.
