Pi Network is Going Big on AI as Token Price Remains Near Record Lows

Pi Network has published the day-by-day agenda for its first Pi Ecosystem Summit, running online from November 17 to 19. The three days end with a new developer hackathon carrying a 200,000 USDT prize pool.

The news pushed Pi Network (PI), the token of a mobile-mining crypto project, into CoinGecko’s top three trending coins. Yet PI still trades more than 97% below its February 2025 peak, leaving holders waiting for real token demand.

What the Pi Ecosystem Summit Will Show Developers

Day one centers on Pi’s developer platform, with new tools, ecosystem initiatives, and app showcases, the team says.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is the focus on November 18. Both opening days stream live on YouTube.

Pi Network founders Chengdiao Fan and Nicolas Kokkalis will also appear, according to the core team. Technical demos and new feature reveals round out the program.

On the final day, the project kicks off Pi Next, a developer competition with a 200,000 USDT prize pool. The team first announced the Pi Ecosystem Summit in October, framing it as an event built around developers and their tools.

Will New Developer Tools Finally Create Token Demand?

Previous launches did little for the price. On Pi2Day in June, the project launched three Pi2Day products, but only one created direct demand for PI.

Likewise, the September SoloHost update improved Pi Desktop without adding any feature that requires spending or holding the token.

PI has slipped over the past month and now sits close to the record low it set in mid-July.

Ahead of the event, Pi Network also made four pre-summit platform changes. For holders, the real test is whether apps shown at the Pi Ecosystem Summit need PI to work. If they do not, the pattern from earlier launches could repeat.

Micron's $4.5 billion Taiwan fab won't make a chip until 2028 — the market sold it as a 2026 problemMicron fell 17.46% to $656.39 after Bloomberg reported construction at its $4.5 billion Taoyuan Fab 11E had all but halted over a labor dispute. The plant was not due online until 2028, so no 2026 output is lost. With FY27 EPS consensus near $160 and 2027 HBM sold out, the selloff is a peak-cycle multiple reset, not a demand collapse — and $650 is the line that separates the two.
