Biden's Son Declares War on TRUMP Coin, Set to Issue 1 Billion LAPTOP Meme Coins

Source Tradingkey

TradingKey - Biden's son plans to issue meme coin LAPTOP with a total supply of 1 billion tokens.

On September 7 Eastern Time, Hunter Biden, son of former U.S. President Biden, posted on social media platform X, confirming that the meme coin LAPTOP will be launched on September 9. The name LAPTOP originates from the "Laptop from Hell" controversy sparked by Hunter Biden, whose MacBook Pro laptop was left at a computer repair shop, exposing private emails and files inside, which later became a focal point of political attacks.

Reportedly, LAPTOP is issued on Base, a Layer 2 network under Coinbase, with a total supply of 1 billion tokens. Among them, 20% will be airdropped to users who suffered losses on current U.S. President Trump's meme coin (TRUMP), Hunter Biden's Substack subscribers, and others; 30% will be allocated for event-specific burns, such as the Democratic Party winning the 2028 presidential election or LAPTOP's market cap surpassing TRUMP's. As of press time, TRUMP is trading at $2.3, with a market capitalization of around $620 million, down 94% from its peak.

It is evident that the LAPTOP meme coin is essentially a token created around political rivalry targeting the Republican Party and the Trump camp, and market dynamics will likely be determined by political maneuvering. When the Republicans or the Trump camp gain the upper hand and launch attack topics, LAPTOP's buzz will surge while its price may suffer; conversely, when the Democrats or the Biden family have major news or hold an advantage, it will also drive up the price of the related token. As the midterm elections approach, such political meme coins may become increasingly favored by investors and could ignite the market at any time.
