New Video of Binance Exec Tigran Gambaryan Shows Him Pleading Nigerian Guard for Help

A hard-to-watch video emerged of Tigran Gambaryan from Abuja court. He struggles to walk and pleads with a guard for help but is offered none.

A new video of Tigran Gambaryan made its way to X, which shows him in visible pain, struggling to walk, and pleading with a guard accompanying him for support. It emerged from his day in court as his trial resumed on September 2.

“I’m not okay, this is f*cked up,” he said as he held the guard’s hand while walking in agony. The guard, however, pulls his hand away and distances himself from Gambaryan, leaving him to walk without support. He looked around at people gathered in the entryway to his courtroom, saying, “He was told not to help me. He said there’s instruction. This is f*cked up. Why couldn’t I use a goddamn wheelchair? This is a show. I’m a f*cking innocent person. Why are you doing this to me?”

The video, circulating through numerous accounts on X, has comments from the crypto community and beyond for the Binance executive’s release. Many have experienced their concern after watching the inhumanity play out. Binance CEO Richard Teng had a few words to say about the incident, “This inhumane treatment of Tigran must end. He must be allowed to go home for medical treatment and to be with his family.”

Gambaryan’s Legal Counsel Asked the Court for Bail on September 2

Gambaryan was produced in Abuja court on September 2 for his trial around the money laundering charges Binance was hit with, but his name is unfairly attached to. His legal counsel asked the judge to grant him bail on medical grounds as his health has taken a massive toll due to him staying in prison for over six months and not receiving the needed care and attention he deserves. The prosecuting counsel argued that no bail is needed as he is in good health. The court will continue with the trial on September 4.
