Investing.com – Spain equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Financial Services&Real Estate, Consumer Services and Chemical, Petroleum&Plastic sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 1.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Banco de Sabadell SA (BME:SABE), which rose 3.27% or 0.06 points to trade at 1.85 at the close. Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA (BME:BBVA) added 2.91% or 0.27 points to end at 9.42 and Fluidra (BME:FLUI) was up 2.75% or 0.68 points to 25.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Puig Brands SA (BME:PUIGb), which lost 1.56% or 0.33 points to trade at 20.87 in late trade. Enagas (BME:ENAG) declined 1.00% or 0.13 points to end at 12.89 and Mapfre (BME:MAP) 0.15% or 0.00 points to 2.62.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 141 to 40 and 30 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.09% or 2.45 to $2,751.75 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.98% or 0.68 to hit $69.94 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.99% or 0.72 to trade at $73.53 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.31% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP fell 0.71% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 104.09.
