On its third quarter of 2026 earnings call, held on Oct. 29, 2026, Mobileye (NASDAQ:MBLY) raised its full-year revenue outlook midpoint to $2.008 billion. Long-term investors gained clarity on how chip sales convert into higher software value per vehicle. Three key takeaways from the call stand out.

1. Automakers Are Upgrading to Higher-Value Driver-Assist Systems

Automakers are upgrading beyond basic front-facing cameras to adopt surround-view vision and cloud-based mapping. Mobileye tracks the fitment rate, which represents the percentage of newly manufactured vehicles that come equipped with its Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) or autonomous driving technologies.

Selling broader software packages increases average selling price (ASP, the average revenue earned per unit) and builds deeper long-term customer relationships.

Looking toward 2027 through 2030, our growth opportunity within ADAS has two reinforcing drivers: ADAS reaching more vehicles and Mobileye delivering more value in each vehicle. Rising fitment rates support unit growth, while broader adoption of our software and systems capabilities create the path to higher content per vehicle.

2. Chinese Vehicle Exports Are Driving Global Safety Standards

Chinese original equipment manufacturers (OEMs, the companies that build vehicles) are shipping cars with built-in safety software to overseas markets. That push forces legacy carmakers in Latin America and South Asia to add safety hardware to stay competitive.

Chinese OEMs are also choosing Mobileye to support their rapid emerging market expansion, adding more than 1 million units and four percentage points to our overall growth rate.
-- Professor Amnon Shashua, Chief Executive Officer and President

3. Full-Stack Control Accelerates Robotaxi Deployment and Cost Cuts

By managing vehicle integration, fleet orchestration, and custom sensors directly, Mobileye avoids reliance on external hardware schedules. Operating its own vertically-integrated stack lets the business use imaging radar to reduce reliance on costly lidar (laser-based distance sensors).

Our rationale for broader participation through our own vertically integrated solution is to accelerate the deployment of our self-driving system and capture more of the value it enables, not to pursue fleet ownership for its own sake.
-- Professor Amnon Shashua, Chief Executive Officer and President

Looking Ahead

EyeQ microchip shipments outpace global vehicle production, driven by export momentum. The business expands software content across major automakers while management monitors component costs.

Demand for our technology is outpacing production at our top 10 customers, while Chinese OEMs continue to choose our solutions for export markets.
-- Professor Amnon Shashua, Chief Executive Officer and President

Mobileye favors production-grade software over temporary demonstrations. Building Level 3 hands-free driving systems (where software handles driving in set conditions) protects its position as advanced features scale.

We believe that scaling a proven production-grade product is a stronger position than productizing across many customers at once.
-- Professor Amnon Shashua, Chief Executive Officer and President
