Deckers reported second-quarter revenue of $1.48 billion, up 3.5%.
HOKA brand revenue grew 7% to $677 million.
Deckers repurchased $637 million of common stock in six months.
On its second quarter fiscal 2027 earnings call, held on Oct. 22, 2026, Deckers (NYSE:DECK) reduced its full-year revenue outlook while prioritizing gross margin preservation over promotional discounting. For long-term investors, protecting brand equity during a choppy retail environment matters far more than chasing lower-margin sales volume. Three things management said stand out.
Widespread discounting across U.S. athletic footwear depressed e-commerce revenue, but Deckers chose price discipline over unprofitable volume. By maintaining full-price selling across direct-to-consumer sales, which occur directly through company-owned websites and stores, it expanded underlying gross margin (the percentage of revenue left after product costs) by 1.2 percentage points.
I assure you, we will compete aggressively, but we are not participating in a race to the bottom.
-- Stefano Caroti, President and Chief Executive Officer
To fix performance gaps in recent footwear updates, management is sharpening product segmentation and expanding its pricing ladder. The strategy introduces entry-level models at $115 alongside max-cushion footwear priced at $325 to broaden consumer adoption.
In addition, we will be expanding our price architecture in both directions, up and down, broadening access while elevating the pinnacle of the brand.
-- Stefano Caroti, President and Chief Executive Officer
Macroeconomic uncertainty is causing footwear buyers to delay purchases until right when they need the product. This shift toward buy-now, wear-now behavior makes focused seasonal product storytelling critical to driving full-price conversion during peak shopping windows.
At the same time, pressures on consumers are prompting some to delay purchase until closer to need.
-- Stefano Caroti, President and Chief Executive Officer
Promotional discounting across rival footwear brands is creating noise, but strict marketplace controls keep inventory clean. Deckers is relying on international wholesale expansion and disciplined pricing to navigate choppy consumer demand.
Our brands continue to be healthy. Engagement is strong. Our strategy, we believe, is sound, and our premium model continues to support attractive margins.
-- Stefano Caroti, President and Chief Executive Officer
Broader price points and updated running franchises give both core brands structural runway ahead of spring launches.
Fundamentally, our long-term goals remain intact, and we believe in the significant runway ahead for both HOKA and UGG.
-- Stefano Caroti, President and Chief Executive Officer
