Millionaire Says GTA 6 Could Save You $5,000. How?

A $100 video game could save you $5,000. That is the unlikely financial advice millionaire investor Mark Tilbury is giving people ahead of Grand Theft Auto 6’s release.

In a viral video, Tilbury argues that spending evenings in GTA 6’s fictional Vice City could be far cheaper than spending them in real bars and restaurants. His calculation has divided viewers.

Why GTA 6 Looks Cheap on Paper

Tilbury starts with a $99.99 price tag. That buys the Ultimate Edition on PlayStation; the standard version costs $79.99. Both are scheduled for November 19.

He assumes players will spend around 80 hours on the game, bringing the Ultimate Edition’s cost to about $1.25 an hour.

That 80-hour figure comes from one Rockstar developer’s playthrough, which included optional missions. It is no guarantee of how long everyone else will take.

Spend 200 hours exploring and completing side missions, and the cost drops to roughly 50 cents an hour.

Then comes Tilbury’s bigger claim.

Can Playing GTA 6 Really Save $5,000?

Imagine playing GTA 6 for four hours each evening over 50 nights. Now imagine going out instead and spending $100 every night on food, drinks, and entertainment.

Those nights out would cost $5,000. The game would leave you about $4,900 better off, assuming you genuinely would have spent that money.

That assumption is where the argument gets shaky.

“4 hours every evening is an INSANE amount of time,” one viewer objected.

Others pointed out that most people do not spend $100 going out every night. And someone who planned to stay home anyway would save nothing.

Still, some viewers appreciated the logic.

“Thank you for the information. I will send this video to my parents,” another wrote.

Tilbury’s argument is playful, but the underlying question is familiar: how much entertainment are you getting for your money?

With GTA 6 approaching, buyers may find that calculation more convincing than the headline-grabbing $5,000.
