Palantir Stock Forecast: PLTR Needs Another Big Raise on Monday as Buyers Defend $186.49

Source Tradingkey

TradingKey - Palantir Technologies (NASDAQ: PLTR) reports third-quarter results after the close on Monday, November 2, with the call at 5 p.m. ET. The stock slipped 0.20% to $196.42 on Thursday, October 29, about 8% below its 52-week high of $212.94 and about 85% above its 52-week low of $106.37.

Palantir's last report sent the stock up 29.5% after it raised full-year revenue guidance by about $500 million. The bar is now higher. At more than 100 times forward earnings, investors want another meaningful raise, not just a beat.

What Wall Street Expects

Analysts expect adjusted EPS of about $0.41, roughly double the $0.21 a year earlier, on revenue of about $2.18 billion, up about 85% from $1.18 billion, according to MarketBeat. That sits just above Palantir's own guide of $2.160 billion to $2.164 billion. Options pricing implies a move of about 11.65% in either direction after the report, according to TipRanks.

Guidance Already Points to a Strong Q4

In August, Palantir raised its 2026 revenue guide to $8.150 billion to $8.158 billion, up 82%, from $7.650 billion to $7.662 billion in May. It also expects US commercial revenue of more than $3.424 billion, growth of at least 134%, and adjusted free cash flow, the cash left after capital spending, of $4.5 billion to $4.7 billion.

After Q1 revenue of $1.63 billion and Q2 revenue of $1.94 billion, the full-year guide implies Q4 revenue of about $2.42 billion if Q3 lands at the midpoint of guidance. A raise is widely expected, so its size is what matters.

Growth Has Accelerated All Year

Revenue grew 85% in Q1 and 93% in Q2. In Q2, US commercial revenue jumped 149% to $764 million, US government revenue rose 90% to $809 million, and the adjusted operating margin, the share of revenue left as operating profit after removing items such as stock-based pay, reached 62%. The total value of US commercial deals signed in the quarter rose 153% to a record $2.13 billion.

Analysts Are Leaning Bullish

Rosenblatt raised its target to $260 from $225, saying "our checks and proprietary analysis of their customer base point to another beat and raise in 3Q," and it models 2027 revenue of $14.6 billion. Goldman Sachs upgraded the stock to Buy with a $230 target, while Citi lifted its target to $250 and Deutsche Bank to $225. The average target on StockAnalysis is about $209, only slightly above Thursday's close.

On the Right Side of the AI Spending Debate

This week, Microsoft rose after reporting strong free cash flow, while Alphabet and Amazon fell as AI spending pushed their cash flow negative. Palantir sits on the favorable side of that split, since it sells AI software instead of building data centers. The risk is valuation, with the stock at about 105 times forward earnings, so in my view US commercial growth needs to stay well above 100% and the full-year guide needs another sizable raise to hold the premium.

Palantir Technical Analysis: Daily Close Above $210.34 Could Restart the Rally

On the daily chart, PLTR is still respecting a rising channel, two parallel lines that contain a trend, from the June low. Buyers stepped in near the lower trendline again on Thursday, and price holds above the $186.49 support zone and both moving averages, which track the average price over a set period, at $185.30 and $172.41. That keeps the uptrend intact.

RSI, a momentum gauge that runs from 0 to 100, has cooled to about 53, and the MACD, a trend-following momentum indicator, has dipped below its signal line, so upside momentum is fading for now.

A daily close above $210.34, just below the $212.94 52-week high, would restart the rally and open the way for $225.27, then $241.03. On the downside, a close below $186.49 would break the channel and could push PLTR toward $165.33.

I'm cautiously bullish while PLTR holds above $186.49, with $210.34 as the next key target.

FAQs

When does Palantir report Q3 2026 earnings?

Palantir reports third-quarter results after the close on Monday, November 2, 2026, with the call at 5 p.m. ET. Analysts expect adjusted EPS of about $0.41 on revenue of about $2.18 billion.

What is the Palantir stock forecast before earnings?

The bias is cautiously bullish above $186.49 on the daily chart. A daily close above $210.34 targets $225.27 and $241.03, while a close below $186.49 opens $165.33.

Bottom Line

Palantir is growing revenue at more than 80% while producing strong cash flow, but its valuation leaves little room for a simple beat. The level that matters is $186.49, the support that keeps the channel intact. I expect a move toward $210.34 if the guidance raise is large, while a close below $186.49 would break the uptrend that started in June.
