Aliens Confirmed? Ex-Bank of England Insider Ties Bitcoin to Cosmic Theory

Source Beincrypto

First, markets were talking about quantum computing, and then one of Wall Street’s top strategists stopped trusting Bitcoin. Now, a new argument is emerging that even aliens could trigger chaos in financial markets, and Bitcoin may be caught in the middle.

Helen McCaw, a former senior analyst at the Bank of England (BoE), is warning that official confirmation of extraterrestrial life could trigger financial chaos unlike anything modern markets have seen.

Ex-Bank of England Analyst Warns of Financial Chaos if Aliens Are Confirmed

In her view, Bitcoin (BTC) may emerge as a last-resort refuge, even as traditional institutions crumble. McCaw, who worked in financial stability and risk at the BoE until 2012, wrote directly to Governor Andrew Bailey. She urged the central bank to stress-test for the unthinkable: verified intelligence behind Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs).

She predicts an “ontological shock,” meaning a psychological upheaval that could undermine collective confidence in reality itself.

According to The Times, such a revelation could unleash extreme market volatility, bank runs, payment system failures, and even civil unrest, potentially within hours.

Her concerns are rooted in ongoing US declassification efforts, including Pentagon briefings and the UAP Transparency Act.

Notably, several senior American officials, including the Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, the New York senator Kirsten Gillibrand, and James Clapper, a former director of national intelligence, have recently indicated their belief in the possibility of intelligent non-human life.

Bitcoin Poised as a Hedge Amid Cosmic Uncertainty

McCaw anticipates a rush to perceived safe havens. Traditional gold could falter if alien technology suggests a future of abundant space-mined precious metals.

Bitcoin, by contrast, is decentralized and independent of government control, potentially making it attractive to investors questioning the legitimacy of fiat currencies.

Prediction markets are already taking notice, with platforms like Polymarket assigning roughly a 14% chance of an official disclosure before 2027.

While the probability remains low at 14%, McCaw argues that markets are unprepared for the cascading effects of such a radical event.

The crypto community is abuzz, with X users amplifying McCaw’s warning as a unique bullish case for BTC.

Preparing for the Unthinkable and the Role Bitcoin Could Play

The Bank of England has not officially warned about aliens—McCaw’s views are personal. Media coverage sensationalized her message into “Bank of England Prepares for Alien Apocalypse.”

Notwithstanding, the underlying logic resonates. Financial systems are fragile to trust shocks, and Bitcoin’s decentralized structure may benefit in scenarios where faith in government-backed assets evaporates.

Her 2024 Sol Foundation white paper argued that governments must overcome “cognitive dissonance” about UAPs and coordinate globally with allies like the US and Japan.

In other words, it’s not about proving aliens exist—it’s about preparing for what could happen if the unthinkable becomes undeniable.

McCaw isn’t predicting an alien landing tomorrow. She’s urging the financial sector to plan for the unimaginable. In a world where reality itself could be questioned, Bitcoin’s decentralized certainty may shine brightest—when everything else feels… alien.
