Ethereum Price Set To Short Squeeze Above $5K This Week – PEPE, AAVE and RTX Eye Big Late August Rallies

Ethereum price action is gaining attention and analysts are pointing to a short-term bull that could propel ETH above $5,000 this week. As the world’s second-largest crypto builds momentum, smaller-cap tokens like PEPE and AAVE attract interest.

However, the experienced investors are instead diversifying and investing in Remittix (RTX); a PayFi altcoin that continues to gain traction as one of the best cryptos to buy now.

Ethereum Price Targets $5,000 Amid Short Squeeze Setup

Ethereum price action has been bouncing on key resistance levels, with derivatives data showing heavy short positions ahead.

Ali Martinez revealed his prediction a few days ago, saying $4,150 is key support for Ethereum price. At that price, over 340,000 tokens were accumulated. This suggests whales are positioning ahead of a potential next leg up.

Also, optimism is being fueled among investors by surging ETF inflows, staking growth and the Ethereum 2.0 scaling scheduled upgrade.

PEPE Poised for Meme Coin Revival

PEPE was one of 2023’s breakout meme coins and it’s currently recording renewed attention as traders believe it’s the next 10x crypto.

Steadily recovering from a recent pullback, PEPE is now flashing signs of a comeback, with trading volumes rising steadily. Historically, Ethereum price rally always triggers an increase in meme coin liquidity and PEPE’s price could easily double from current levels.

AAVE Gains From DeFi Momentum

AAVE, the decentralized lending protocol, is also positioned for a bullish rebound in August ending. With the increasing interest in the DeFi sector and ETH setting the pace, AAVE will see an increase in total value locked (TVL) and renewed institutional interest.

With AAVE price’s historical correlation with DeFi adoption, analysts believe a move toward $150 is possible if the Ethereum price retains bullish momentum.

Remittix (RTX) Captures Attention With PayFi Utility

While Ethereum, PEPE and AAVE are strong contenders, Remittix is tipped as the surprise breakout of 2025.

Remittix (RTX) is a PayFi project built for everyday payments. It enables crypto-to-fiat transfers in 30+ countries and supports 40+ cryptocurrencies.
