ParaFi Capital Raises $120 Million to Invest in Crypto Fund GP Shares

Source Livebitcoinnews

ParaFi Capital, a digital asset management firm based in New York, has successfully raised $120 million from investors, including Theta Capital Management and Accolade Partners, as reported by Bloomberg. The funds will be deployed in a new plan that seeks to purchase GP stakes in crypto funds specializing in specific markets. The company is expecting to develop a portfolio of 30 to 50 GP shares in the next 3 to 5 years.

ParaFi’s New Strategy Focuses on Diversified Crypto Fund Investments

This investment round, which includes KKR & Co. co-founder Henry Kravis, shows that leading investors trust ParaFi’s approach. Theta Capital Management and Accolade Partners specialize in making value-driven investments in industries that experience tremendous growth, and their partnership lends a lot of clout to ParaFi’s market standing.

Ben Forman, the founder of ParaFi, explained that GP shares will enable the firm to reduce the specific risk of owning Bitcoin. By investing in funds that cater to particular market segments, strategies, or geographic locations, ParaFi seeks diversification in terms of investment opportunities.

ParaFi was established only in recent years, but it has shown that it is going to diversify its portfolio by already investing in nine different cryptocurrency management companies. This new strategy further elevates that approach by allowing external investors to be a part of that growth.

Given the recent increase in the number of crypto funds, ParaFi’s approach stresses the necessity of diversification within the volatile cryptocurrency market. Therefore, ParaFi ensures that the company invests in multiple segments and regions as a way of reducing risk while finding growth opportunities.

For ParaFi, this strategy boosts the company’s position as a provider of crypto investments. It also addresses additional trends noticed by institutions that are interested in digital assets and fosters the continuous development of the given sphere.
