Colombia shares lower at close of trade; COLCAP down 0.42%

Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.42%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Promigas (BVC:PMG), which rose 6.94% or 500.00 points to trade at 7,700.00 at the close. Grupo Argos SA (BVC:ARG) added 4.08% or 760.00 points to end at 19,400.00 and Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (BVC:GAA_p) was up 4.04% or 17.00 points to 438.00 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Interconnection Electric SA ESP (BVC:ISA), which lost 1.90% or 340.00 points to trade at 17,580.00 in late trade. Grupo Bolivar SA (BVC:SCA) declined 1.83% or 1,120.00 points to end at 60,120.00 and Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC:CNE) shed 1.30% or 120.00 points to 9,080.00.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 1.33% or 3.27 to $242.63 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 0.50% or 37.00 to hit $7,297.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.12% or 3.25 to trade at $2,746.05 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was up 0.13% to 4,426.48, while BRL/COP fell 1.28% to 754.07.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 104.24.
