Anthropic in Talks for October IPO to Raise Over $60 Billion, Sources Say

Source Tradingkey

TradingKey - Anthropic  is holding early discussions with top Wall Street banks about leading an initial public offering that could come as soon as October, according to people familiar with the matter. The listing could raise more than $60 billion, marking one of the largest potential debuts in the AI sector.

The developer of the Claude artificial‑intelligence models has been moving steadily toward the public markets. The company hired law firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in December to begin IPO preparations and has since been exploring listing strategies with multiple banks.

In January, reports emerged that Anthropic was raising $10 billion in private financing at a target valuation of about $350 billion. A month later, it announced a $30 billion funding round that lifted its valuation to roughly $380 billion, underscoring surging investor demand for AI developers.

Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, and Morgan Stanley are among the leading candidates to underwrite the offering, some of the people said. If finalized, the deal would mark a pivotal step in Anthropic’s transition from privately backed startup to publicly traded AI powerhouse.
