Sony Interactive Entertainment recently announced the PlayStation Plus game catalog for February through the PlayStation blog. Starting today, PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers can access 9 exclusive titles: 7 for PS Plus Extra subscribers and 2 for PS Plus Premium subscribers.

PS Plus Extra subscribers will access Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, Mordhau, SaGa Frontier Remastered, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Top Spin 2K25, Somerville, and Tin Hearts. The games are available for gamers with PS4 and PS5 consoles. PS Plus Premium subscribers will access Patapon 3 and Dropship: United Peace Force, available on PSP and PS2, respectively.

The February PS Plus Game Catalog announcement also mentioned two indie titles that are expected to launch this spring and summer. Blue Prince, a mystery puzzle adventure game developed by Dogubomb and to be published by Raw Fury, will be available on the Game Catalog this spring. The 6-player survival game Abiotic Factor from Deep Field Games and Playstack will also come to the Game Catalog this summer.

Sony announced the titles after the February 2025 PlayStation State of Play broadcast last week, introducing the 9 titles and other titles PS console owners could expect in the coming months. The broadcast did not include the much anticipated first-party PS5 games Death Stranding 2: On The Beach and Ghost of Yotei. The lineup had more third-party games, including several Microsoft first-party titles.

PS Plus subscribers get discounts on Extra and Premium

PlayStation is telling me i cant take advantage of the 35% off 12 month premium sale because i was already a subscriber. This seem completely unfair.

Sony announced a 35% discount on PS Plus Extra and Premium, allowing gamers to subscribe for the benefits with $99.99 yearly. The discounts only apply to new subscribers or subscribers with expired memberships and will end on February 24. The gaming company also announced that the discounts will only be available for PS users in the U.S. and a select number of European countries, excluding the U.K. Sony further confirmed that PS Plus Essential will not receive any discount.

The gaming company also highlighted that canceling membership and subscribing afterward would not work for gamers who had already subscribed to the two subscription plans. Many gamers still found the discounts unfair. A Reddit thread revealed the thoughts of the gaming community, where some commenters believed that the discounts did not make sense. Others also believed that Sony had been unfair in PS Plus discount offerings for several years.

Sony shreds 10 games from the PS Plus Game Catalog

PS Plus subscribers are set to lose 10 games by March 18 despite the recent additions to the Game Catalog. The Last Chance to Play section of the PS Plus game catalog includes Mortal Kombat 11, Street Fighter V – Champion Edition, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures: All-Star Battle, Final Fantasy Type-o HD, Life Is Strange: True Colors, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, Life Is Strange 2: Complete Season, Resident Evil 3, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy, and Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 6. The removal of the games has raised negative sentiment among gamers. Some gamers argue that Sony has always discontinued good games without adding worthwhile games in return.

The entertainment company also discontinued 8 more titles this February for PS Plus subscribers ahead of the new titles’ access. Some of the games included Tales of Arise, Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition, Tales of Zestiria, Tales of Symphonia Remastered, The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition, and Outriders. Sony further discontinued 11 titles on January 14, including Legend of Mana, Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, Life Is Strange, Life is Strange: Before the Storm, and Just Cause 3.

Sony further announced on January 29 that PS4 games would no longer appear in the Game Catalog and Monthly Games for PS Plus subscribers starting January 2026. The gaming giant said that more users had shifted to PS5 game titles available in the game categories. However, Sony also confirmed that some PS4 games that are usually playable on both PS4 and PS5  consoles may occasionally appear in Monthly Games and Game Catalog.
