Infinity Nikki has reached a monumental milestone, with 30 million pre-registered gamers. The milestone has earned the gamers special rewards, such as outfits for when they explore the deeper reaches of Miraland. The game hit the milestone despite not being released yet.

Infinity Nikki is an open-world game set to be the fifth installment in the Nikki series developed by Papergames and published by Inflold Games. The new game has raised anticipation levels ahead of its launch later this year after developers opened the pre-registration phase.

Infinity Nikki achieves pre-registration milestone

Infinity Nikki is off to a great start, with the game garnering 30,509,388 players in pre-registration before its planned release later this year. The milestone unlocks registration rewards for gamers who signed up during pre-registration. The items offered include a four-star outfit, 20 Resonite Crystals, 300 Threads of Purity, and 50,000 Blings.

The developers announced that players will be able to claim their rewards via in-game mail once the game is released.

The milestone also prompted Infold Games to release a new gameplay trailer titled “Unfold Your Whim.” The trailer provides more information about the game, revealing that Nikki will traverse Miraland with her companion, Momo. The duo must collect “Whim Stars” to unlock ability outfits. Each outfit grants Nikki unique powers that allow her to explore new areas and face various challenges.

For instance, the “Bubbly Voyage” outfit enables her to float midair for a higher jump, a valuable ability for traversing Miraland’s landscapes and gathering Whim Stars.

The trailer also gives a nod to Miraland’s lighter, playful side, emphasizing the game’s enchanting open world, encouraging players to relax, explore, and create lasting memories with Momo.

According to the trailer released, Nikki can pause her adventure to interact with adorable animals using the “Bye-Bye Dust” outfit. The outfit allows her to groom the animals and follow a rare creature called the Fluffy Sky Monarch to find hidden surprises. The trailer also reveals elements such as riding the Whim Cycle and Nikki’s ability to participate in mini-games with townsfolk in Miraland.

Gamers react to Infinity Nikki milestone

With Infinity Nikki becoming one of the year’s most anticipated games, gamers were quick to react to the news of the milestone and the new trailer. Most of the gamers were excited about the milestone, congratulating the developers for their monumental achievement.

Gamers also said that they were thrilled about getting the new unlocked outfits and exploring the colorful landscapes in the expansive open-world game.

However, a section of gamers also had questions about the game’s release. Some gamers inquired about the game’s official release date and its Xbox edition. Previously, Inflold Games had stated that the game would be released for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android. The game’s release date remains unannounced even though the year has only six weeks left.

Bitcoin briefly loses 2025 gains as crypto plunges over the weekend.Bitcoin experienced a sharp decline this weekend, briefly erasing its 2025 gains and dipping below its year-opening value of $93,507. The cryptocurrency fell to a low of $93,029 on Sunday, representing a 25% drop from its all-time high in October. Although it has rebounded slightly to around $94,209, the pressures on the market remain significant. The downturn occurred despite the reopening of the U.S. government on Thursday, which many had hoped would provide essential support for crypto markets. This year initially appeared promising for cryptocurrencies, particularly after the inauguration of President Donald Trump, who has established the most pro-crypto administration thus far. However, ongoing political tensions—including Trump's tariff strategies and the recent government shutdown, lasting a historic 43 days—have contributed to several rapid price pullbacks for Bitcoin throughout the year. Market dynamics are also being influenced by Bitcoin whales—investors holding large amounts of Bitcoin—who have been offloading portions of their assets, consequently stalling price rallies even as positive regulatory developments emerge. Despite these sell-offs, analysts from Glassnode argue that this behavior aligns with typical patterns seen among long-term investors during the concluding stages of bull markets, suggesting it is not indicative of a mass exodus. Notably, Bitcoin is not alone in its struggles, as Ethereum and Solana have also recorded declines of 7.95% and 28.3%, respectively, since the start of the year, while numerous altcoins have faced even steeper losses. Looking ahead, questions linger regarding the viability of the four-year cycle thesis, particularly given the increasing institutional support and regulatory frameworks now in place in the crypto landscape. Matt Hougan, chief investment officer at Bitwise, remains optimistic, suggesting a potential Bitcoin resurgence in 2026 driven by the “debasement trade” thesis and a broader trend toward increased adoption of stablecoins, tokenization, and decentralized finance. Hougan emphasized the soundness of the underlying fundamentals, pointing to a positive outlook for the sector in the longer term.
