PancakeSwap Launches ZK Token Airdrop to Its Users

PancakeSwap has launched an airdrop campaign that started at 10:30 AM UTC on July 5 and will end at 10:30 AM UTC on August 5. It will reward its users and governance participants with ZK tokens for their commitment to using and overseeing its multichain DEX platform.

It will reward wallets for their ongoing commitment to using its services since it deployed the platform on the zkSync layer 2 a year ago. PancakeSwap has pledged 2,452,128 ZK tokens for this event.

The integration saw PancakeSwap adding numbers to its metrics, lending in its trade volume rising to $3.6 billion, a total value locked (TVL) of $5 million, and its trade count rising to 1.9 million.

The platform relayed, “The airdrop distribution is currently open to veCAKE Holders, Liquidity Providers, Active Traders, Traverse Campaign Participants, zkSync Prediction Users, and zkSync Gauge Voters who meet the eligibility requirements.”

So, a wide range of participants, including PancakeSwap’s governance token (veCAKE) holders, liquidity providers, traders, those who indulged in previous zkSync activities, and more, can expect to receive the tokens, the number based on their levels of indulging in the platform’s offerings.

Of the 2.4 million tokens to be airdropped, 26.5% is reserved for veCAKE holders, 27% for past ecosystem contributors, and 46.5% for future contributors.

“The ZKsync airdrop rewards longstanding contributors supporting our journey and newcomers actively engaging with PancakeSwap,” PancakeSwap’s official account stated on X. It also emphasized how its community is central to its growth, “Whether you’ve been with us from the start or are just joining, your participation fuels the growth of our ecosystem.”

Eligible users must connect their wallet to the airdrop campaign on the platform and follow its step-by-step guide to avail of the tokens. Those failing to do so will not receive their share of the airdrop, and their tokens will make it to PancakeSwap treasury for the platform’s future developments.
