The Trump-backed Bitcoin treasury and mining American Bitcoin (ABTC) ended Q2 2026 at a loss, despite better results than in the previous quarter.

The company posted a net loss of $57.2 million in the three months to June 30, down from roughly $82 million reported in Q1.

American Bitcoin generated $67.0 million in mining revenue in Q2, approximately 8% increase from $62.1 million in the previous quarter.

Its operating loss was $74.1 million, with the largest being the loss on digital assets, which was reported to be $71.1 million.

American Bitcoin’s CEO Mike Ho pointed to Bitcoin’s market performance as a factor behind the quarter’s loss. The price of Bitcoin fell about 11% in the three months of the quarter.

“Despite Bitcoin headwinds in Q2, we stayed focused on what we can control,” Ho said.

American Bitcoin increased its Bitcoin holdings to over 8,000 in the quarter, up 14% from the 7,021 BTC reported in Q1.

The company’s mining production also increased to 932 BTC, from 817 BTC in Q1 2026, marking its highest quarterly production on record.

Following the quarterly results, ABTC trades up 1.08% to $5.58 per share.

American Bitcoin conducts a reverse stock split

Last month, American Bitcoin announced it would conduct a reverse stock split to reduce outstanding shares from roughly 1.09 billion to about 73 million, Cryptopolitan reported.

The firm decided on a 1-for-15 reverse split to avoid being delisted from Nasdaq after its shares fell below the listing threshold.

Several other Bitcoin treasury companies had also conducted reserve stock splits for similar reasons to American Bitcoin.

In May, Nakamoto (NASDAQ: NAKA) executed a 1-for-40 reverse stock split after its shares collapsed to $0.15. The move reduced the outstanding shares from 696 million to about 17.4 million.

American Bitcoin remains the 16th-largest Bitcoin treasury firm, with 8,300 BTC in total holdings, according to Bitcoin Treasuries.
