Fortnite and Disney expected to make big announcements at D23 Brazil

A rumor that started with the leaker ShiinaBR states that Fortnite and Disney will soon be making new announcements about their upcoming collaborative content at D23 Brazil. The event is scheduled for November 9, 2024, the week after Chapter 2 Remix releases in the game. 

At the beginning of October, Epic discussed Disney’s involvement in introducing new worlds for the Fortnite universe. However, Fortnite has only released the skins of iconic characters in the game. The skins of Marvel and Star Wars franchises were also included along with the Disney villains as fresh skins.

All these announcements came out in August 2024 when Disney was hosting the annual; D23 event. The players were rewarded with a back bling for free including the big announcement of the ongoing Marvel season, Absolute Doom.

The new leak suggests that an even bigger announcement involving Disney and Fortnite is expected very soon.

Epic Games announcements in D23 schedule may be about Fortnite

The D23 schedule states that it will include Epic Games announcements in the show. This has players expecting the tandem of Disney and Fortnite to be making major reveals.

The announcement may cover the upcoming content for Chapter 6, which will be released on 2nd December. It could also reveal 2025 plans for the Disney collaboration.

For now, it remains unclear if players will be watching the event through Fortnite like before or through online Disney channels. On the other hand, there is no announcement yet like one of a free Peelverine Back Bling. Players won’t know what items to expect until they are officially announced.

Disney may also discuss their plans regarding the restrictions on weapons for the Disney characters in Fortnite. Still, one can’t be sure of anything without official channels sharing the information. Moreover Epic is still preparing for the finale in the current Marvel season.
