Denmark shares lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 1.16%

Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Healthcare, Chemicals and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 1.16%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED), which rose 4.06% or 16.60 points to trade at 425.10 at the close. Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) added 2.49% or 3.30 points to end at 136.00 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) was up 2.45% or 275.00 points to 11,510.00 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb), which lost 2.12% or 16.30 points to trade at 752.60 in late trade. Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb) declined 2.02% or 15.40 points to end at 746.40 and Tryg A/S (CSE:TRYG) shed 1.83% or 3.00 points to 160.60.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 84 to 48 and 20 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 2.55% or 1.77 to $71.26 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 2.34% or 1.71 to hit $74.81 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.08% or 2.20 to trade at $2,747.00 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.52% to 6.85, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.49% at 103.69.
