Turkey shares higher at close of trade; BIST 100 up 1.85%

Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Transport, Textile&Leather and Information Technology sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.85%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Reeder Teknoloji Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:REEDR), which rose 9.99% or 2.00 points to trade at 22.02 at the close. Tumosan Motor ve Traktor Sanayi AS (IS:TMSN) added 6.88% or 7.40 points to end at 114.90 and Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Enerji ve Mu (IS:KONTR) was up 5.77% or 2.18 points to 39.98 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS:CCOLA), which lost 2.35% or 1.14 points to trade at 47.46 in late trade. Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) declined 2.31% or 1.30 points to end at 54.90 and Enerya Enerji AS (IS:ENERY) shed 2.21% or 5.00 points to 221.60.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 508 to 60 and 10 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.56% or 14.80 to $2,680.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 4.90% or 3.62 to hit $70.21 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 4.67% or 3.62 to trade at $73.84 a barrel.

USD/TRY was down 0.09% to 34.23, while EUR/TRY fell 0.19% to 37.35.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 102.93.
