Colombia shares lower at close of trade; COLCAP down 0.61%

Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.61%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Etb (BVC:ETB), which rose 5.56% or 4.50 points to trade at 85.50 at the close. Organizacion Terpel SA (BVC:TPL) added 2.55% or 240.00 points to end at 9,640.00 and Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC:CNE) was up 1.92% or 200.00 points to 10,600.00 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (BVC:BVC), which lost 4.49% or 480.00 points to trade at 10,200.00 in late trade. Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (BVC:SIS) declined 4.21% or 1,300.00 points to end at 29,600.00 and Celsia SA (BVC:CEL) shed 2.13% or 85.00 points to 3,915.00.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 1 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 1.06% or 2.60 to $248.00 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 2.42% or 181.00 to hit $7,294.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.52% or 13.05 to trade at $2,545.75 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was unchanged 0.00% to 4,285.38, while BRL/COP rose 0.32% to 756.43.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 101.64.
