Third-quarter revenue grew 10.2% to $1.6 billion.
Revenue from the Building Climate Solutions segment rose 24%, driving commercial growth.
Lennox launched a recovery plan to lower manufacturing and distribution costs.
On its third-quarter 2026 earnings call, held on Oct. 28, 2026, Lennox (NYSE:LII) announced a 10.2% revenue increase to $1.6 billion, while segment profit declined approximately 2% to $323 million. The heating and cooling equipment maker launched a recovery plan to stabilize residential market share and lower operational costs.
Three things management said stand out.
Management adopted targeted regional price adjustments to defend market share against rivals, accepting lower pricing realization amid rising import tariffs. This strategy prioritizes protecting unit volume over short-term operating profit margins in the residential market.
To defend and stabilize our residential market share position. We are encouraged by the early results from these actions but the trade off was lower price realization at a time when tariff and inflationary pressures continue to increase.
-- Alok Maskara, Chief Executive Officer
Lennox is refreshing its entry-tier product portfolio, which includes budget-friendly equipment, to address consumer budget constraints. The acquisition of Heat Controller provides low-cost equipment designs and strategic sourcing insights for entry-level buyers.
We are refreshing our entry tier portfolio with new products, including additional site discharge offerings. ... We are pleased with the heat controller acquisition and early performance is in line with our expectations.
-- Alok Maskara, Chief Executive Officer
The Building Climate Solutions segment, which represents commercial heating and cooling operations, increased revenue by 24% during the quarter. Investments in factory capacity and sales coverage increased the speed of fulfillment, allowing Lennox to capture emergency equipment replacement orders.
Our investments in factories and sales coverage are improving quoting speed and product availability, helping us win more emergency replacement business.
-- Michael Quenzer, Chief Financial Officer
Commercial momentum and factory investments are accelerating fulfillment speed, and Lennox is taking direct control of its operational turnaround rather than waiting for lower interest rates. The business relies on its direct-to-dealer distribution model and expanded entry-tier portfolio to protect customer relationships while management focuses on pricing discipline. To restore profitability, the company is prioritizing growth in EBIT (earnings before interest and taxes) and EPS (earnings per share) through cost productivity.
Successful execution of our recovery plan is expected to drive sales EBIT and EPS growth in 2027, with momentum building as the year progresses. Importantly, our plan does not depend on a significant market recovery.
-- Alok Maskara, Chief Executive Officer
Supply chain consolidation and warehouse rightsizing provide structural cost advantages as production volumes recover.
Our long term strategy remains intact and we are confident in Lennox's ability to deliver sustainable value, strong margins, and high cash conversion. I truly believe that our best days are still ahead.
-- Alok Maskara, Chief Executive Officer
