Japan's Akazawa: US tariffs on Japanese goods to be cut by September 16
Japan trade negotiator Ryosei Akazawa said in an X post on Tuesday that US tariffs on Japanese goods, including cars and auto parts, are set to be lowered by September 16, Reuters reported.
Last week, Trump signed an executive order implementing his trade agreement with Japan, which calls for lower 15% tariffs on Japanese cars, more than a month after the two countries reached an agreement in July.

Hence, Trump wants to focus on these three nations when imposing tariffs. He also plans to use the revenue generated through tariffs to lower personal income taxes.
