GE Vernova reported Q3 2026 financial results this morning.
In addition to sales, GE Vernova reported earnings that surpassed analysts' expectations.
GE Vernova projects 2026 sales of about $47 billion.
Looking past the headline figures, GE Vernova (NYSE:GEV) investors seem more intent on focusing on the weak spots in the company's third-quarter 2026 financial results today. While the industrial leader has achieved several successes, concerns about the company's wind business are prompting investors to trim their positions.
As of 3:01 p.m. ET, GE Vernova shares are down 1.1%, recovering from an earlier 6.6% decline.

Projecting 2026 revenue for its wind business to decline in the mid-single-digit range year-over-year, compared to initial guidance that it would be down in the low-double-digit range, GE Vernova now expects to incur a steeper loss for the segment. Whereas it had originally guided for the wind business to post a $400 million segment earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) loss in 2026, it now foresees a steeper segment EBITDA loss of $400 to $500 million.
GE Vernova reported Q3 2026 revenue of $12.6 billion, surpassing analysts' expectations of $12 billion, and it reported diluted earnings per share of $4.81 -- notably better than the $4.01 that analysts had anticipated.
In addition to wind turbines, GE Vernova is a leading supplier of natural-gas turbines, generators, nuclear technology, and electrification equipment for power grids.
For 2026, GE Vernova projects revenue of $46.5 billion to $47.5 billion and free cash flow of $16 billion to $17 billion.
While investors quickly clicked the sell button once the opening bell rang this morning, cooler heads seem to be prevailing, and investors are recognizing that the challenges in the wind business aren't as terrible as they first suspected. For those interested in an industrials stalwart, GE Vernova stock remains a worthy consideration despite the more dour expectations for the wind business in 2026.
