Trump's Meme Coin Dinner Is Back. Here's What Happened to Holders Last Time

The team behind the Official Trump (TRUMP) meme coin announced a gala dinner with President Donald Trump for the top 185 holders on its leaderboard. The event takes place on November 22 at Trump National in Washington, D.C.

Holders compete on a time-weighted leaderboard that went live on September 30. Trump is listed as the featured speaker, alongside 3 “legends.”

A Familiar Invitation for Trump’s Top-Ranked Holders

According to the event website, the top 29 holders also get a VIP reception with Trump and one legend. Eligibility locks on a November 12 snapshot, and the top 4 VIPs receive 18K gold Trump watches.

Holders must register separately for the dinner, even if they already belong to the project’s Coin Club. However, the site rules out any private meetings with the President.

The project has hosted similar gatherings before. In May 2025, the top 220 holders were invited to a dinner with Trump at his golf club near Washington, D.C.

Then, in March 2026, the project invited its top 297 holders to an April 25 conference at Mar-a-Lago.

TRUMP Gains Ground, but Past Events Ended in Exits

TRUMP traded at $2.14 at press time, up 3.74% in 24 hours, per BeInCrypto Markets data. Meanwhile, the total crypto market capitalization fell 2.36% to $2.89 trillion over the same period.

However, the modest outperformance has not erased the token’s longer slide. TRUMP remains down 9% over the past month and 55% year-to-date.

The leaderboard rewards wallets that hold more tokens for longer, giving buyers a reason to enter early.  Previous events, however, saw holders cash out. Before the 2025 dinner, 92 of 220 invited holders sold all their TRUMP.

The Mar-a-Lago announcement followed a similar path. TRUMP rallied 49.65% to a March 13 peak, then gave back nearly all of it. Exchange balances climbed to about 41 million tokens during that run.

This time, VIP holders who drop below their snapshot balance before November 22 may lose their bonuses. The coming weeks will show whether that rule keeps top holders in place through the event.
