AgiBot has surpassed Unitree in H1 shipments of humanoid robots

IPO-poised AgiBot has overtaken Unitree Robotics as the leading humanoid robot vendor after record H1 sales.

AgiBot shipped about 8,400 humanoid robots in the first six months of 2026 to take 44% of the global market, edging out fellow Chinese firm Unitree Robotics for the top spot.

Research firm Smart Analytics Global puts AgiBot’s year-on-year shipment growth at 562%. The growth resulted from the company selling across several product lines rather than a single hero device, according to SAG’s report on Monday.

Global humanoid shipments hit 19,100 in H1

Unitree has been the global leader in humanoid shipments. In 2025, the company saw annual shipments of 5,500 units.

In H1 sales this year, Unitree landed in second with roughly 5,900 units and a 31% share.

Where AgiBot spread its bets, Unitree leaned on a single model, its G1, with a large slice going to schools, labs, and live performances.

The two firms have opened a wide gap over the rest of the field, with Chinese vendors still leading. The next two vendors, UBTECH at 5.2% and Leju at 4.9%, are also Chinese, according to the report, giving China all four of the leading suppliers.

Global humanoid shipments hit about 19,100 units in the first half, more than three times the 5,100 counted a year earlier.

More than 97% of those units are made by Chinese manufacturers, with them shipping around 18,500 units as opposed to about 4,000 from the United States, which puts American companies such as Tesla, Figure AI, and Agility Robotics way behind in terms of volume.

Industrial and commercial activity was still the main factor in terms of shipments, making up over 70% of the first half of the year’s sales. In practice, this involves machines being used to move goods, assemble parts, and carry out inspections in automobile plants, electronics factories, and warehouses.

The IPO race behind the numbers

Both AgiBot and Unitree are currently preparing to go public.

Unitree opened subscriptions for its IPO on the Shanghai STAR Market on Monday, Cryptopolitan reported.

The company is offering its shares at 150.80 yuan to raise roughly 6.1 billion yuan ($904 million). The market capitalization is estimated to reach around 60.99 billion yuan ($9 billion) when completed.

AgiBot is also pursuing an IPO later this year in Hong Kong.
