Kiniksa raised 2026 revenue guidance to over $1.045 billion.
ARCALYST penetration among multiple recurrence patients reached 23%.
Phase III data for candidate KPL-387 is expected in late 2027.
On its third quarter of 2026 earnings call, held on Oct. 27, 2026, Kiniksa Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:KNSA) announced that it raised its full-year 2026 revenue guidance to between $1.045 billion and $1.050 billion. Generating profitable sales growth from its flagship drug helps to fund pipeline advancement.
Three takeaways from the call stand out for long-term investors.
Sales of ARCALYST, the company's approved treatment for recurrent pericarditis, an inflammatory heart condition, drove a guidance increase as more physicians prescribed the therapy earlier in disease progression. Expanding adoption into broader patient populations creates a durable revenue base that supports self-funded growth.
ARCALYST revenue grew 58% year-over-year to $286 million in the third quarter, driven by continued gains in patient and physician adoption.
-- Mark Ragosa, Chief Financial Officer
Management deployed Heart's Home, a direct-to-consumer educational campaign that uses artificial intelligence to help identify rare-disease patients who aren't yet taking ARCALYST. Reaching underserved patients efficiently expands the addressable market without requiring a massive sales force expansion.
As an early indicator of the impact of this campaign, we've seen a 12-fold increase in the traffic to our ARCALYST website compared to baseline levels prior to the campaign.
-- Ross Moat, President and Chief Operating Officer
The company continues advancing KPL-387, an investigational once-monthly subcutaneous interleukin-1 inhibitor drug candidate, alongside KPL-1161, a quarterly candidate expected to enter Phase I clinical trials. Developing formulations with longer dosing intervals strengthens competitive posture against rival therapies that require weekly administration.
The pivotal phase III study with KPL-387 continues to enroll and dose patients. We announced today that we expect data from this trial in the second half of 2027.
-- Sanj K. Patel, Chief Executive Officer
Revenue momentum is driving higher profitability, allowing the business to fund research and development expenses for pipeline candidates internally. Strong commercial discipline and expanding prescription depth provide structural cost leverage as sales scale.
ARCALYST collaboration profit increased 67% year-over-year to $211.6 million, outpacing sales growth and reflecting disciplined commercial investment.
-- Mark Ragosa, Chief Financial Officer
Investors should watch clinical enrollment progress and commercial penetration across the remaining untreated patient population. Long-term value creation depends on extending market leadership into less frequent dosing options.
This trajectory will help put the company on a path to having multiple commercial products, continued strong and profitable growth, and the flexibility to invest in future value creation.
