Why Bitcoin’s Next All-Time High Looks Distant After the Binance Hack

Source Beincrypto

The biggest theft in crypto history, the $6.3 billion Binance hack, is already showing its scar on the crypto market. After a month of moving between the $80,000 and $85,000 range, Bitcoin has dropped to $76,000 since the incident.

Binance has yet to resume its withdrawals, which is expected to create more pressure on markets when users of the largest exchange are able to sell their funds.

Analysts at BeInCrypto’s Market Intelligence Council are now split on what impact this will have on Bitcoin’s price.

Is Decentralization Becoming Crypto’s Weak Spot?

Charles Edwards, founder of Capriole Investments, reacted within minutes.

“If the king can’t protect itself, how can any other exchange be trusted? How can ‘smart’ contracts be trusted? How can elliptic curve cryptography be trusted? The answer to all of the above is they can’t.”

Edwards argues that AI-driven exploits now outpace security patches. He pointed to Tether halting $1.8 billion of the stolen funds as proof that crypto needs human intervention.

He also repeated his call for a quantum-resistant Bitcoin roadmap.

“I said early this year, Bitcoin won’t get a new ATH until a Core governed Quantum Proof roadmap is established. ATH’s are looking more and more distant today.”

Roughly 80 minutes later, he went further.

The admission stands out. Edwards built several widely followed on-chain Bitcoin indicators and backed the technology for years.

Did Bitcoin Fail, or Did Its Middlemen?

Dr. Giovanni Santostasi, the physicist behind the Bitcoin Power Law model, rejected that conclusion outright.

In his view, exchanges and hardware wallets are centralized points of failure, separate from the protocol. Keys generated from physical dice rolls, he argued, remain safe.

Binance’s findings partly support him. The attacker exploited operational security, not cryptography.

However, his rebuttal leaves the quantum argument untouched. A dice-generated key still relies on elliptic curve cryptography, whose quantum deadline remains disputed.

Is the Binance Hack Just a Bear-Market Ritual?

Benjamin Cowen, another council member, treated the breach as a seasonal pattern.

His cycle framework places the fourth quarter of a US midterm year in bear-market territory, when negative shocks tend to cluster. Cowen maintains the market remains in that phase.

He recently warned that Bitcoin could mirror silver’s crash after a false breakout.

All three experts suggest a new all-time high is not close. They differ on the cause, citing broken trust, failing middlemen, or the cycle clock.

For exchanges, the breach shifts scrutiny from private keys to the employee devices around them. For Bitcoin, the quantum question Edwards keeps raising still has no Core-approved answer.

Anthropic files for a $2 trillion IPO — the $80.7 billion loss is the decoy, the $450 billion compute bill is the riskAnthropic publicly filed its S-1 on October 26, revealing $16.29 billion of first-half revenue (+1,304% year over year) and a $80.7 billion net loss — of which $72.4 billion is a non-cash convertible-note charge. The real number is the $450 billion of signed, mostly non-cancelable compute commitments. Here is what the filing says, why NVDA, ARM and MU are the tradeable read-through, and the conditions that decide whether the AI trade passes its first public valuation test.

Brent's $115 front month sits $4.6 above January — the $14 spread to WTI is the supply-risk premiumDecember Brent trades at $115.29 while January is $110.71, a $4.58 backwardation. The December Brent-WTI spread is $14.2, versus a $3-5 normal. That gap, not the headline, is where the Middle East supply risk is priced. Here is what the curve says, why the December contract's expiry on October 30 will mechanically cut the headline by $4.6, and the 108.81 neckline that decides the next move.
