Volodymyr Nosov: WhiteBIT launches live-streamed global crypto trading championship

The WhiteBIT exchange aims to popularize crypto trading with an exclusive crypto trading tournament. The International Crypto Trading Championship 2025 debuts as a novel crypto event, blending competition, education, and transparency. 

WhiteBIT is organizing a live trading event, the newly introduced International Crypto Trading Cup. The event mixes a competition between high-profile traders, in addition to building educational content and showcasing the trading tools on WhiteBIT. 

A selected group of traders will showcase their trading abilities, including full transparency of the WhiteBIT trading screens and on-chain transfers. The ICTC aims to boost exposure for top traders, turning them into global public figures. 

“We set ourselves an ambitious goal — to set a new standard in the world of trading and hold the first-ever live-stream trading championship. Our ICTC is the first international tournament where world-class traders will compete. Along with them, fully-formed squads of 25 participants and individual traders will also take part online,” said the WhiteBIT Group President Volodymyr Nosov.

The event is open to anyone to track the traders’ decisions in real-time, observe their reactions and strategies, as well as join the conversation via chat, added Nosov.

The focus of ICTC is on crypto trading education. The pre-tournament qualification selected from a wide circle of traders, who competed for a chance to become the eighth trader on the main live event. 

“Anyone interested had the opportunity to test their skills, gain unique experience, and learn something new even before the main competition stage,” added Nosov.

In the second stage, the competition will focus on professionalism and fairness. All participants will be monitored for financial soundness. The traders’ actions will be open for tracking in real time, including screen-sharing. Anyone will be able to preview their open positions and trades. 

After the trades are completed, all transactions will be previewed and validated to ensure they fit the tournament’s rules and conditions, added Nosov.

Each trader will start with a balance of 50,000 USDTB, WhiteBIT’s internal asset for futures trading. The competition will track performance on futures markets, with the best trader winning the profits from all trades. 

Nosov believes crypto trading tournaments can turn into high-profile global events, rivaling the size of eSports championships. Nosov believes crypto trading has all the components for a content-producing sensation. 

Traders can show their strategic skills, emotions, and personality, producing unique stories based on live market developments. Nosov expects top traders to be followed by millions, and also used as an educational resource for others to venture into crypto trading. ICTC starts from May 9, at 13:00 UTC, and will be broadcast live.

Following the tournament announcement, WhiteBIT’s native WBT token traded at $30.27. The exchange still carried relatively high volumes of $2.13B in the past 24 hours.
